| ○ | ○ | Article | Aramid nanofiber-reinforced multilayer electromagnetic-interference (EMI) shielding composites with high interfacial durability | Structural composites for electric vehicles should have lightweight, mechanically strong, efficient electromagnetic shielding. Although thermoplastic composite material plays a structural role and aluminum thin film (Al foil) plays the role of electromagnetic wave shielding, poor interfacial adhesion and tear resistance of Al foil need to be overcome. In this work, we demonstrated a novel, high-performance EMI-shielding multilayer structure based on an aluminum thin film (Al), glass fabric (GF), carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFT), and thermoplastic adhesive. In particular, the interfacial adhesion at the mechanically weak interface has been significantly improved by a factor of 1.15 via the application of an aramid nanofiber-embedded (ANF) thermoplastic interlayer. We found that the distribution and entanglement of aramid nanofibers in the ANF adhesive layer precisely determine the mechanical properties of the entire structural composite. Efficient EMI shielding performance (an average of 94 dB at 0.2- 1.0 GHz) of structural EMI shielding composites was possible using a uniform aramid nanofiber layer. (c) 2022 The Authors. | ○ | ○ | Article | Bioconverted Fruit Extract of Akebia Quinata Exhibits Anti-Obesity Effects in High-Fat Diet-Induced Obese Rats | Akebia quinata, commonly called chocolate vine, has various bioactivities, including antioxidant and anti-obesity properties. However, the anti-obesity effects of bioconverted extracts of A. quinate have not been examined. In this study, A. quinata fruit extracts was bioconverted using the enzyme isolated from the soybean paste fungi Aspergillus kawachii. To determine whether the bioconversion process could influence the anti-obesity effects of A. quinata fruit extracts, we employed 3T3-L1 adipocytes and HFD-induced obese rats. We observed that the bioconverted fruit extract of A. quinata (BFE) afforded anti-obesity effects, which were stronger than that for the non-bioconverted fruit extract (FE) of A. quinata. In 3T3-L1 adipocytes, treatment with BFE at concentrations of 20 and 40 mu g reduced intracellular lipids by 74.8 (p < 0.05) and 54.9% (p < 0.01), respectively, without inducing cytotoxicity in preadipocytes. Moreover, the oral administration of BFE at the concentration of 300 mg/kg/day significantly reduced body and adipose tissue weights (p < 0.01) in HFD-induced obese rats. Plasma cholesterol values were reduced, whereas HDL was increased in BFE receiving rats. Although FE could exert anti-obesity effects, BFE supplementation induced more robust effects than FE. These results could be attributed to the bioconversion-induced alteration of bioactive compound content within the extract. | Lee, Seul Gi; Lee, Eunbi; Chae, Jongbeom; Kim, Jin Soo; Lee, Han-Saem; Lim, Yu-Mi; So, Jai-Hyun; Hahn, Dongyup; Nam, Ju-Ock | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Food Sci & Biotechnol, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Natl Dev Inst Korean Med, Gyongsan 38540, Gyeongsangbuk D, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Inst Agr Sci & Technol, Daegu 41404, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Res Inst Tailored Food Technol, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Keimyung Univ, Sch Med, Dept Immunol, Daegu 42601, South Korea | KIM, Heejae/J-2173-2015 | 56995397800; 57798039800; 57204499421; 57194216639; 57198889826; 56806010700; 36185972100; 36554163400; 7201496105 | namjo@knu.ac.kr; | NUTRIENTS | NUTRIENTS | 2072-6643 | 14 | 21 | SCIE | NUTRITION & DIETETICS | 2022 | 5.9 | 18.7 | 0.48 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 5 | Akebia quinate; anti-adipogenic; bioconversion; chocolate vine; obesity | GAMMA | 3T3-L1 adipocytes; Akebia quinate; anti-adipogenic; bioconversion; chocolate vine; obesity | 3T3-L1 Cells; Adipogenesis; Animals; Anti-Obesity Agents; Diet, High-Fat; Fruit; Mice; Mice, Inbred C57BL; Obesity; Plant Extracts; Rats; adiponectin; Akebia quinata extract; albumin; alkaline phosphatase; antiobesity agent; aspartate aminotransferase; CCAAT enhancer binding protein alpha; creatinine; high density lipoprotein cholesterol; nitrogen; peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma; plant extract; triacylglycerol; unclassified drug; urea; antiobesity agent; plant extract; 3T3-L1 cell line; adipocyte; adipogenesis; adipose tissue weight; Akebia quinata; animal cell; animal experiment; animal model; animal tissue; antiobesity activity; Article; Aspergillus; Aspergillus kawachii; body weight; body weight gain; cell differentiation; cell size; cell viability; cholesterol blood level; controlled study; diet-induced obesity; drug metabolism; epididymal tissue; feed efficiency; fruit; lipid storage; male; mRNA expression level; nonhuman; polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis; proadipocyte; protein expression level; rat; real time polymerase chain reaction; retroperitoneal white adipose tissue; triacylglycerol blood level; urea nitrogen blood level; white adipose tissue; adverse event; animal; C57BL mouse; fruit; lipid diet; mouse; obesity | English | 2022 | 2022-11 | 10.3390/nu14214683 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Combined Use of Sewage Sludge and Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobia Improves Germination, Biochemical Response and Yield of Ridge Gourd (Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb.) under Field Conditions | This research investigated the combined use of sewage sludge (SS) and plant growth-promoting rhizobia (PGPR) for Ridge gourd (Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb.) cultivated under field conditions. The different treatments of SS and PGPR such as 0% (soil as control), 5% SS, 5% SS + PGPR, 10% SS, and 10% SS + PGPR were applied to assess their impacts on seedling growth, biochemical response, and yield performance of Ridge gourd. The results showed that the highest seedling emergence (92.3 +/- 2.1%), fresh biomass (9.6 +/- 0.3 g), growth rate (1.4 +/- 0.1 g/day), seedling length (15.5 +/- 0.3 cm), root length (10.4 +/- 0.3 cm), total chlorophyll (3.2 +/- 0.1 mg/g), crop yield (13.8 +/- 0.1 kg/plant), and average crop yield per harvest (2.8 +/- 0.1 kg/plant) were observed in 10% SS + PGPR treatment. The enzyme activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD; mu g/g) and catalase (CAT: mu g/g) were significantly lowered after PGPR inoculation in higher SS treatments. The results of principal component (PC) and Euclidian clustered distance analyses showed a positive influence of SS dose on soil nutrient availability and Ridge gourd's growth, biochemical responses, and yield performance. Moreover, the elemental analysis showed that the bioaccumulation factor (BAF < 0.90) and health risk index (HRI < 0.40) of selected metal elements (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn) were within the permissible limits, indicating consumption of Ridge gourd fruits was safe. The outcomes of this study suggest the potential use of SS and PGPR for improved Ridge gourd production and contribution towards sustainable development goal (SDG) 12 on responsible consumption and production of vegetable crops. | Kumar, Vinod; Eid, Ebrahem M.; Al-Bakre, Dhafer A.; Abdallah, Samy M.; Siric, Ivan; Andabaka, Zeljko; Kumar, Pankaj; Goala, Madhumita; Adelodun, Bashir; Singh, Jogendra; Kumari, Sonika; Bachheti, Archana; Arya, Ashish Kumar; Choi, Kyung-Sook | Gurukula Kangri Deemed Univ, Dept Zool & Environm Sci, Agroecol & Pollut Res Lab, Haridwar 249404, Uttarakhand, India; King Khalid Univ, Biol Dept, Coll Sci, Abha 61321, Saudi Arabia; Kafrelsheikh Univ, Bot Dept, Fac Sci, Kafr Al Sheikh 33516, Egypt; Tabuk Univ, Biol Dept, Coll Sci, Tabuk 47512, Saudi Arabia; Ain Shams Univ, Dept Soils & Water, Fac Agr, Cairo 11241, Egypt; Univ Zagreb, Fac Agr, Svetosimunska 25, Zagreb 10000, Croatia; Affiliated Assam Univ, Nehru Coll, Pailapool, Silchar 788098, Assam, India; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Agr Civil Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Univ Ilorin, Dept Agr & Biosyst Engn, PMB 1515, Ilorin 240003, Nigeria; Graph Era Deemed Univ, Dept Environm Sci, Dehra Dun 248002, Uttarakhand, India | Albakre, Dhafer/GXH-6523-2022; Kumar, Pankaj/AAF-2231-2019; Kumar, Pankaj/AAB-4153-2019; Arya, Ashish Kumar/AAO-8554-2021; Abdallah, Samy/F-7507-2011; bachheti, Archana/N-5749-2017; Kumar, Dr. Vinod/K-9971-2016; Kumar, P.Vinod/HKP-1552-2023; Adelodun, Bashir/O-2941-2018; Eid, Ebrahem/O-2723-2013 | 57200152850; 35794350700; 56646389000; 56478535500; 55233815400; 55934838700; 57281192700; 57221943148; 57193774482; 57193220273; 57226814250; 55437052500; 57225657736; 54392662900 | drvksorwal@gkv.ac.in;ebrahem.eid@sci.kfs.edu.eg;albakre@ut.edu.sa;smabdullah@kku.edu.sa;isiric@agr.hr;zandabaka@agr.hr;rs.pankajkumar@gkv.ac.in;madhumitagoalap@gmail.com;adelodun.b@knu.ac.kr;jogendra.rs@gkv.ac.in;rs.sonikakumari@gkv.ac.in;bachheti.archana@gmail.com;ashishkumararya_20941076.evs@geu.ac.in;ks.choi@knu.ac.kr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 2 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 0.62 | 2025-06-25 | 5 | 6 | bioaccumulation; health risk; Luffa acutangula; metal elements; sewage sludge; target hazard quotient | HEALTH-RISK ASSESSMENT; WATER TREATMENT PLANTS; WASTE-WATER; HEAVY-METALS; SOIL; BIOACCUMULATION; VEGETABLES; NUTRITION | Bioaccumulation; Health risk; Luffa acutangula; Metal elements; Sewage sludge; Target hazard quotient | English | 2022 | 2022-02 | 10.3390/agriculture12020173 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Comparison of Yield and Yield Components of Several Crops Grown under Agro-Photovoltaic System in Korea | Renewable energy generation has attracted growing interest globally. The agro-photovoltaic (APV) system is a new alternative to conventional photovoltaic power plants, which can simultaneously generate renewable energy and increase agricultural productivity by the use of solar panels on the same farmland. The optimization of crop yields and assessment of their environmental sensitivity under the solar panels have not yet been evaluated with various crop species. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performances and crop yields under the APV system and the open field with crop species such as rice, onion, garlic, rye, soybean, adzuki bean, monocropping corn, and mixed planting of corn with soybean in South Korea. The results indicated that there was statistically no negative impact of the APV system on the forage yield of rye and corn over two years, suggesting that forage crops under the APV system were suitable to producing forage yield for livestock. In addition, the measured forage quality of rye was not significantly different between the open field and the APV system. However, rice yield was statistically reduced under the APV system. The yield of legume crops and vegetables in this study did not show consistent statistical results in two years. For further study, crop yield trials will still be required for rice, soybean, adzuki bean, onion, and garlic for multiple years under the APV system. | Jo, Hyun; Asekova, Sovetgul; Bayat, Mohammad Amin; Ali, Liakat; Song, Jong Tae; Ha, Yu-Shin; Hong, Dong-Hyuck; Lee, Jeong-Dong | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Appl Biosci, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Sultan Qaboos Univ, Coll Agr & Marine Sci, Dept Plant Sci, Muscat 123, Oman; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Food Secur & Agr Dev, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agr Univ, Fac Agr, Dept Genet & Plant Breeding, Gazipur 1706, Bangladesh; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Upland Field Machinery Res Ctr, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Integrat Biol, Daegu 41566, South Korea | ; Asekova, Sovetgul/AAD-7252-2022 | 57194539358; 55886563800; 57672385000; 36908067800; 57797134000; 57192072314; 57192068978; 40462075100 | johyun@knu.ac.kr;a.sovetgul@squ.edu.om;a.bayat1971@gmail.com;liakat.gpb@bsmrau.edu.bd;jtsong68@knu.ac.kr;yushin72@knu.ac.kr;bear0011@knu.ac.kr;jdlee@knu.ac.kr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 5 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 4.16 | 2025-06-25 | 33 | 41 | agro-photovoltaic system; APV system; renewable energy; solar panels; crop production | FORAGE QUALITY; SHADE; RESPONSES; GRASSES | agro-photovoltaic system; APV system; crop production; renewable energy; solar panels | English | 2022 | 2022-05 | 10.3390/agriculture12050619 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Dahl Salt-Resistant Rat Is Protected against Hypertension during Diet-Induced Obesity | A high-fat diet (HFD) frequently causes obesity-induced hypertension. Because Dahl salt-resistant rats are protected against hypertension after high-salt or high-fructose intake, it is of interest whether this model also protects against hypertension after diet-induced obesity. We tested the hypothesis that Dahl salt-resistant rat protects against hypertension during diet-induced obesity. Dahl salt-sensitive (SS) and Dahl salt-resistant (SR) rats were fed a HFD (60% fat) or a chow diet (CD; 8% fat) for 12 weeks. We measured blood pressure using the tail-cuff method. The paraffin sections of thoracic perivascular adipose tissue (tPVAT) were stained with hematoxylin/eosin and trichrome. The expression of genes in the tPVAT and kidneys were measured by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The HFD induced hypertension in SS (p < 0.01) but not SR rats, although it increased body weight gain (p < 0.05) and tPVAT weight (p < 0.01) in both rats. The HFD did not affect the expression of genes related to any of the adipocyte markers in both rats, although SR rats had reduced beige adipocyte marker Tmem26 levels (p < 0.01) and increased anti-inflammatory cytokine adiponectin (p < 0.05) as compared with SS rat. The HFD did not affect the mRNA expression of contractile factors in the tPVAT of SS and SR rats. SR rats are protected against hypertension during diet-induced obesity. This result implies that the genetic trait determining salt sensitivity may also determine fructose and fat sensitivity and that it is associated with the prevention of hypertension. | Lee, Soyung; Jang, Sungmin; Kim, Jee Young; Kim, Inkyeom | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Med, Dept Pharmacol, Daegu 41944, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Cardiovasc Res Inst, Daegu 41944, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Biomed Sci, BK21 Plus KNU Biomed Convergence Program, Daegu 41944, South Korea | 57867559800; 57897824500; 57222261625; 7404144630 | inkim@knu.ac.kr; | NUTRIENTS | NUTRIENTS | 2072-6643 | 14 | 18 | SCIE | NUTRITION & DIETETICS | 2022 | 5.9 | 18.7 | 0.48 | 2025-06-25 | 5 | 5 | Dahl salt-resistant rat; Dahl salt-sensitive rat; hypertension; obesity; perivascular adipose tissue | PERIVASCULAR ADIPOSE-TISSUE; BLOOD-PRESSURE ELEVATION; ENDOTHELIAL DYSFUNCTION; OXIDATIVE STRESS; FAT; ARTERIES; DAMAGE; OXIDE | Dahl salt-resistant rat; Dahl salt-sensitive rat; hypertension; obesity; perivascular adipose tissue | Adiponectin; Animals; Blood Pressure; Cytokines; Diet, High-Fat; Eosine Yellowish-(YS); Fructose; Hematoxylin; Hypertension; Obesity; Paraffin; Rats; Rats, Inbred Dahl; RNA, Messenger; Sodium Chloride; Sodium Chloride, Dietary; adiponectin; pentobarbital; adiponectin; cytokine; eosin; fructose; hematoxylin; messenger RNA; paraffin; sodium chloride; animal experiment; animal model; animal tissue; Article; beige adipocyte; blood pressure measurement; body weight gain; chow diet; controlled study; Dahl salt resistant rat; Dahl salt sensitive rat; diastolic blood pressure; diet-induced obesity; gene expression; histopathology; hypertension; lipid diet; lipid storage; male; mRNA expression level; nonhuman; perivascular adipose tissue; rat; real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction; renin angiotensin aldosterone system; systolic blood pressure; adverse event; animal; blood pressure; complication; Dahl rat; hypertension; metabolism; obesity; salt intake | English | 2022 | 2022-09 | 10.3390/nu14183843 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Deep Learning Ensemble-Based Automated and High-Performing Recognition of Coffee Leaf Disease | Coffee is the world's most traded tropical crop, accounting for most export profits, and is a significant source of income for the countries in which it is produced. To meet the needs of the coffee market worldwide, farmers need to increase and monitor coffee production and quality. Coffee leaf disease is a significant factor that decreases coffee quality and production. In this research study, we aim to accurately classify and detect the diseases in four major types of coffee leaf disease (phoma, miner, rust, and Cercospora) in images using deep learning (DL)-based architectures, which are the most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. Specifically, we present an ensemble approach for DL models using our proposed layer. In our proposed approach, we employ transfer learning and numerous pre-trained CNN networks to extract deep characteristics from images of the coffee plant leaf. Several DL architectures then accumulate the extracted deep features. The best three models that perform well in classification are chosen and concatenated to build an ensemble architecture that is then given into classifiers to determine the outcome. Additionally, a data pre-processing and augmentation method is applied to enhance the quality and increase the data sample's quantity to improve the training of the proposed method. According to the evaluation in this study, among all DL models, the proposed ensemble architecture outperformed other state-of-the-art neural networks by achieving 97.31% validation. An ablation study is also conducted to perform a comparative analysis of DL models in different scenarios. | Novtahaning, Damar; Shah, Hasnain Ali; Kang, Jae-Mo | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Artificial Intelligence, Daegu 41566, South Korea | ; Novtahaning, Damar/MBG-8072-2025 | 58131564800; 57762344700; 56024930400 | jmkang@knu.ac.kr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 11 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 4.27 | 2025-06-25 | 19 | 41 | ensemble learning; coffee leaf disease; deep learning; image classification; transfer learning; fine-tuned CNN | coffee leaf disease; deep learning; ensemble learning; fine-tuned CNN; image classification; transfer learning | English | 2022 | 2022-11 | 10.3390/agriculture12111909 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Development of the Reliability Assessment Process of the Hydraulic Pump for a 78 kW Tractor during Major Agricultural Operations | This study focuses on the development of the reliability test method for the hydraulic pump of a tractor during major agricultural operations (plow, rotary, baler, and wrapping) at various driving and PTO (power take-off) gear stages. The hydraulic-pressure-measurement system was installed on the tractor. The measured hydraulic pressure and engine rotational speed were converted to the equivalent pressure and engine speed for each agricultural operation using a mathematical formula. Additionally, the overall equivalent pressure and overall engine speed were calculated to determine the acceleration lifetime. The average equivalent pressure and engine speed for plow tillage were calculated at around 5.44 MPa and 1548.37 rpm, respectively, whereas the average equivalent pressure and engine speed for rotary tillage were almost 5.70 MPa and 2074.73 rpm, accordingly. In the case of baler and wrapping operations, the average equivalent pressure and engine speed were approximately 11.22 MPa and 2203.01 rpm, and 11.86 MPa and 913.76 rpm, respectively. The overall hydraulic pressure of the pump and the engine rotational speed were found to be around 10.07 MPa and 1512.93 rpm, respectively. The acceleration factor was calculated using the overall pressure and engine speed accounting for 336. In summary, the developed reliability test method was evaluated by RS-B-0063, which is the existing reliability evaluation standard for agricultural hydraulic gear pumps. The evaluation results proved that the developed reliability test method for the hydraulic pump of a tractor satisfied the standard criteria. Therefore, it could be said that the developed reliability test method could be applicable to the hydraulic pump of the tractor during agricultural field operations. | Siddique, Md Abu Ayub; Kim, Yong-Joo; Baek, Seung-Min; Baek, Seung-Yun; Han, Tae-Ho; Kim, Wan-Soo; Kim, Yeon-Soo; Lim, Ryu-Gap; Choi, Yong | Chungnam Natl Univ, Dept Agr Machinery Engn, Daejeon 34134, South Korea; Chungnam Natl Univ, Dept Smart Agr Syst, Daejeon 34134, South Korea; Korea Agr Technol Promot Agcy, Agr Machinery Certificat Team, Iksan 54667, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Bioind Machinery Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Korea Inst Ind Technol KITECH, Smart Agr Machinery R&D Grp, Gimje 54325, South Korea; Korea Agr Technol Promot Agcy, Innovalley Sustantiat Team, Sangju 37127, South Korea; Rural Dev Adm RDA, Natl Inst Agr Sci, Upland Mechanizat Team, Jeonju 54875, South Korea | ; Siddique, PhD, Md. | ○ | ○ | Article | Higher Serum Total Cholesterol to High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio Is Associated with Increased Mortality among Incident Peritoneal Dialysis Patients | This study evaluated the association of the serum total cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (TC/HDL-C) with mortality in incident peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. We performed a multi-center, prospective cohort study of 630 incident PD patients from 2008 to 2015 in Korea. Participants were stratified into quintiles according to baseline TC, HDL-C, LDL-C and TC/HDL-C. The association between mortality and each lipid profile was evaluated using multivariate Cox regression analysis. During a median follow-up period of 70.3 +/- 25.2 months, 185 deaths were recorded. The highest TC/HDL-C group had the highest body mass index, percentage of diabetes and serum albumin level. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the highest quintile of TC/HDL-C was associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality (hazard ratio 1.69, 95% confidence interval 1.04-2.76; p = 0.036), whereas TC, HDL-C and LDL-C were not associated with mortality. Linear regression analysis showed a positive correlation between TC/HDL-C and body mass index. Increased serum TC/HDL-C was an independent risk factor for mortality in the subgroup of old age, female, cardiovascular disease and low HDL-C. The single lipid marker of TC or HDL-C was not able to predict mortality in PD patients. However, increased serum TC/HDL-C was independently associated with all-cause mortality in PD patients. | Noh, Hee-Won; Jeon, Yena; Kim, Ji-Hye; Lee, Ga-Young; Jeon, Soo-Jee; Kim, Kyu-Yeun; Lim, Jeong-Hoon; Jung, Hee-Yeon; Choi, Ji-Young; Park, Sun-Hee; Kim, Chan-Duck; Kim, Yong-Lim; Cho, Jang-Hee | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Med, Div Nephrol, Dept Internal Med, Daegu 41944, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Stat, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Cell & Matrix Res Inst, Daegu 41944, South Korea | ; Park, Sun-Hee/LMN-0033-2024; Kim, Young/T-8521-2019; Kim, Yong-Lim/AGK-3172-2022; Cho, Jang-hee/ABD-3534-2020; Lim, Jeong-Hoon/ABE-6003-2020 | 57219963219; 57209909350; 59643141000; 57219960739; 57219960429; 57194436722; 55360244300; 57196396467; 7501393222; 7501831741; 8558530700; 55633533600; 7403536291 | hwn1104@gmail.com;yeahnah@naver.com;js1725@hanmail.net;aiyaiyai@naver.com;hot716@naver.com;kgy8244@naver.com;hunph84@naver.com;hy-jung@knu.ac.kr;jyss1002@hanmail.net;sh-park@knu.ac.kr;drchkim@knu.ac.kr;ylkim@knu.ac.kr;jh-cho@knu.ac.kr; | NUTRIENTS | NUTRIENTS | 2072-6643 | 14 | 1 | SCIE | NUTRITION & DIETETICS | 2022 | 5.9 | 18.7 | 1.35 | 2025-06-25 | 16 | 16 | total cholesterol; high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; mortality; peritoneal dialysis | CORONARY-HEART-DISEASE; STAGE RENAL-DISEASE; NON-HDL CHOLESTEROL; CARDIOVASCULAR-DISEASE; DIABETES-MELLITUS; SIMILAR OUTCOMES; LIPID PROFILES; HEMODIALYSIS; RISK; LDL | High-density lipoprotein cholesterol; Mortality; Peritoneal dialysis; Total cholesterol | Adult; Aged; Body Mass Index; Cardiovascular Diseases; Cause of Death; Cholesterol; Cholesterol, HDL; Female; Humans; Incidence; Kidney Failure, Chronic; Male; Middle Aged; Peritoneal Dialysis; Prospective Studies; Republic of Korea; Risk Factors; Young Adult; cholesterol; high density lipoprotein cholesterol; low density lipoprotein cholesterol; serum albumin; cholesterol; high density lipoprotein cholesterol; adult; age; albumin blood level; all cause mortality; Article; body mass; cardiovascular disease; cardiovascular mortality; cholesterol blood level; cohort analysis; confidence interval; correlation analysis; data analysis software; diabetes mellitus; female; follow up; hazard ratio; hematological parameters; hemodialysis patient; human; Korea; linear regression analysis; major clinical study; male; middle aged; mortality risk; multicenter study (topic); multivariate analysis; peritoneal dialysis; predictive value; proportional hazards model; prospective study; risk factor; sex factor; total cholesterol to high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio; aged; blood; cardiovascular disease; cause of death; chronic kidney failure; complication; incidence; metabolism; mortality; peritoneal dialysis; South Korea; young adult | English | 2022 | 2022-01 | 10.3390/nu14010144 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Mega-Dose Vitamin C Ameliorates Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in a Mouse Fast-Food Diet Model | In previous studies, the increasing clinical importance of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has been recognized. However, the specific therapeutic strategies or drugs have not been discovered. Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant and is a cofactor in many important biosynthesis pathways. Recently, many researchers have reported that the mega-dose vitamin C treatment had positive effects on various diseases. However, the precise relationship between mega-dose vitamin C and NAFLD has not been completely elucidated. This study has been designed to discover the effects of mega-dose vitamin C on the progression of NAFLD. Twelve-week-old wild-type C57BL6 mice were fed chow diets and high-fat and high-fructose diet (fast-food diet) ad libitum for 11 weeks with or without of vitamin C treatment. Vitamin C was administered in the drinking water (1.5 g/L). In this study, 11 weeks of the mega-dose vitamin C treatment significantly suppressed the development of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) independently of the catabolic process. Vitamin C supplements in fast-food diet fed mice significantly decreased diet ingestion and increased water intake. Histopathological analysis revealed that the mice fed a fast-food diet with vitamin C water had a mild renal injury suggesting osmotic nephrosis due to fructose-mediated purine derivatives. These data suggest that the mega-dose vitamin C treatment suppresses high-fructose-diet-mediated NAFLD progression by decreasing diet ingestion and increasing water intake. | Lee, Seoung-Woo; Lee, Young-Jin; Baek, Su-Min; Kang, Kyung-Ku; Kim, Tae-Un; Yim, Jae-Hyuk; Kim, Hee-Yeon; Han, Se-Hyeon; Choi, Seong-Kyoon; Park, Sang-Joon; Kim, Tae-Hwan; Park, Jin-Kyu | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Vet Pathol, Coll Vet Med, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Daegu Gyeongbuk Med Innovat Fdn, Lab Anim Ctr, Daegu 41061, South Korea; Daegu Gyeongbuk Inst Sci & Technol DGIST, Core Prot Resources Ctr, Daegu 42988, South Korea; Hanyang Univ, Dept Media & Commun, Seoul 04763, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Coll Vet Med, Lab Vet Histol, Daegu 41566, South Korea | 57218827581; 57491815500; 57207938426; 57215079376; 57214091908; 57221330255; 58368914700; 57210915063; 55505432500; 7501825941; 57202984578; 35213723500 | pyrk2000@gmail.com;bnm3448123@naver.com;suminbaek@naver.com;qzpmqzpm@naver.com;tukim92@naver.com;dlajh7676@gmail.com;khyon1206@dgist.ac.kr;han382@daum.net;cskbest@dgist.ac.kr;psj26@knu.ac.kr;thkim56@knu.ac.kr;jinkyu820@knu.ac.kr; | NUTRIENTS | NUTRIENTS | 2072-6643 | 14 | 11 | SCIE | NUTRITION & DIETETICS | 2022 | 5.9 | 18.7 | 1.16 | 2025-06-25 | 13 | 13 | vitamin C; nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD); uric acid; kidney; fructose | URICASES; PROTEIN; INJURY | fructose; kidney; nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD); uric acid; vitamin C | Animals; Ascorbic Acid; Diet; Diet, High-Fat; Disease Models, Animal; Fructose; Liver; Mice; Mice, Inbred C57BL; Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease; Vitamins; Water; ascorbic acid; fructose; vitamin; water; animal; C57BL mouse; diet; disease model; lipid diet; liver; metabolism; mouse; nonalcoholic fatty liver | English | 2022 | 2022-06 | 10.3390/nu14112195 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Review | Methyl Benzoate as a Promising, Environmentally Safe Insecticide: Current Status and Future Perspectives | The widespread use of synthetic chemical pesticides beginning in the late 1930s has contributed to the development of insecticide resistance of many important species of pest insects and plants. Recent trends in pesticide development have emphasized the use of more environmentally benign control methods that take into consideration environmental, food safety, and human health. Biopesticides (e.g., naturally occurring pesticidal compounds) are alternative pest management tools that normally have no negative impact on human health or the environment. Here we review methyl benzoate, a relatively new botanical insecticide that occurs naturally as a metabolite in plants, and whose odor is an attractant to some insects. Since 2016, many studies have shown that methyl benzoate is an effective pesticide against a range of different agricultural, stored product, and urban insect pests. Methyl benzoate has several important modes of action, including as a contact toxicant, a fumigant, an ovicidal toxin, an oviposition deterrent, a repellent, and an attractant. In this review, we summarize various modes of action of methyl benzoate and its toxicity or control potential against various kinds of arthropods, including agricultural pests and their natural enemies, and pollinators. We conclude that methyl benzoate is a very promising candidate for use in integrated pest management under either greenhouse or field conditions. | Mostafiz, Md Munir; Hassan, Errol; Lee, Kyeong-Yeoll | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Coll Agr & Life Sci, Div Appl Biosci, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Univ Queensland, Sch Agr & Food Sci, Gatton, Qld 4343, Australia; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Res Inst Dok Do & Ulleung Do Isl, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sustainable Agr Res Ctr, Gunwi 39061, South Korea | ; Mostafiz, Md. | ○ | ○ | Article | Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals Contamination in Soil and Two Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Varieties Irrigated with Paper Mill Effluent | Heavy metal pollution from industrial wastewaters has become an issue of global concern. These wastewaters are frequently used for inland irrigation which possess a serious risk of heavy metal contamination of both soil and cultivated crops. The problem is more common in developing countries like India where industrial wastewaters are often discharged without appropriate treatments. Therefore, this study aimed at assessing the impact of paper mill effluent for irrigation on the growth, productivity, and heavy metal accumulation potential of two rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties (PB-1121 and PR-121). Water, soil, and rice crop samples were obtained from the vicinity of Saharanpur city, Uttar Pradesh, India, and subsequently analyzed for selected physicochemical and heavy metal parameters. Results showed that paper mill effluent and nearby Kali River water had significant (p Mn > Zn > Cu > Cr > Cd. Similarly, the bioaccumulation factors for heavy metals in rice straw and grain were observed as >1 and 1). As a result, the findings of this study provide useful information about the current state of heavy metal pollution and the health risks associated with rice crops irrigated with contaminated water sources. | AL-Huqail, Arwa A.; Kumar, Pankaj; Eid, Ebrahem M.; Adelodun, Bashir; Fayssal, Sami Abou; Singh, Jogendra; Arya, Ashish Kumar; Goala, Madhumita; Kumar, Vinod; Siric, Ivan | Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman Univ, Coll Sci, Dept Biol, POB 84428, Riyadh 11671, Saudi Arabia; Gurukula Kangri Univ, Dept Zool & Environm Sci, Agroecol & Pollut Res Lab, Haridwar 249404, Uttaranchal, India; King Khalid Univ, Coll Sci, Biol Dept, Abha 61321, Saudi Arabia; Kafrelsheikh Univ, Fac Sci, Bot Dept, Kafr Al Sheikh 33516, Egypt; Univ Ilorin, Dept Agr & Biosyst Engn, PMB 1515, Ilorin, Nigeria; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Agr Civil Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Univ Forestry, Fac Agron, Dept Agron, 10 Kliment Ohridski Blvd, Sofia 1797, Bulgaria; Lebanese Univ, Fac Agr, Dept Plant Prod, Beirut 1302, Lebanon; Graph Era Univ, Dept Environm Sci, Dehra Dun 248002, Uttarakhand, India; Assam Univ, Nehru Coll, Silchar 788098, Assam, India; Univ Zagreb, Fac Agr, Svetosimunska 25, Zagreb 10000, Croatia | ; Eid, Ebrahem/O-2723-2013; AL-Huqail, Arwa/AAZ-3925-2020; Kumar, Dr. Vinod/K-9971-2016; Kumar, Pankaj/AAF-2231-2019; AL-Huqail, Arwa A./AAZ-3925-2020; Arya, Ashish Kumar/AAO-8554-2021; Adelodun, Bashir/O-2941-2018; Kumar, P.Vinod/HKP-1552-2023; Abou Fayssal, Sami/ABF-6226-2020 | 57192198035; 57281192700; 35794350700; 57193220273; 57225657736; 57221943148; 57193774482; 57218598581; 57200152850; 55233815400 | rs.pankajkumar@gkv.ac.in;isiric@agr.hr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 11 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 5.62 | 2025-06-25 | 38 | 57 | crop contamination; health risks; heavy metals; industrial pollution; wastewater irrigation | GROWTH; WATER | crop contamination; health risks; heavy metals; industrial pollution; wastewater irrigation | English | 2022 | 2022-11 | 10.3390/agriculture12111864 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Rollover Safety and Workable Boundary Suggestion of an Agricultural Platform with Different Attachments | Overturning accidents in agriculture offroad vehicles have been reported annually around the world. Safety structures, such as rollover prevention, have been adopted to mitigate these accidents. Despite this, accidents remain persistent but less fatal. This study investigated the safe driving boundary for a multi-purpose platform with attachments (cargo, pepper harvester). Mathematical formulations of the roll and pitch motions for multi-purpose platforms were created. The critical overturning angle, at five load levels for each machine (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg), was determined using Recurdyn, a dynamic analysis software. Regression analysis of each coordinate of the center of gravity was conducted to verify the most critical coordinate against gaining loads. The critical overturning angle for the X and Y directions was found. The cargo and pepper harvester had 28.64 degrees and 21.04 degrees of critical overturning angles in the Y direction, respectively, with a full loading state while climbing a steep hill. The regression model of the X, Y, and Z coordinates of CoG suggested that the most critical coordinate of the CoG against the loads was in the Y coordinate for the pepper harvester and the X direction for cargo. This study could be applied to develop an awareness safety system that warns the operator of the risk of a fatal accident. | Kang, Seokho; Kim, Yeongsu; Park, Hyunggyu; Kim, Yonggik; Woo, Seungmin; Uyeh, Daniel Dooyum; Ha, Yushin | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Coll Agr & Life Sci, Dept Bioind Machinery Engn, Daehak Ro 80, Daegu 41566, South Korea | 57221791368; 57210594021; 57279183700; 58419351400; 57192074884; 57194449611; 57192072314 | deshshk@knu.ac.kr;mvio9256@knu.ac.kr;pyd7169@naver.com;dydwlr9988@knu.ac.kr;kooger7571@naver.com;uyehdooyum@knu.ac.kr;yushin72@knu.ac.kr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 8 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 0.83 | 2025-06-25 | 7 | 8 | accident prevention; agricultural platform; dynamic characteristic; rollover safety; vehicle safety | TRACTOR OVERTURNING ACCIDENTS; PHASE-I OVERTURN; STABILITY; FATALITIES; EFFICIENCY; DYNAMICS; MODEL | accident prevention; agricultural platform; dynamic characteristic; rollover safety; vehicle safety | English | 2022 | 2022-08 | 10.3390/agriculture12081148 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Secure biometric-based access control scheme for future IoT-enabled cloud-assisted video surveillance system | We propose a new access control mechanism for video surveillance system based on user's biometrics, which allows to access real-time video surveillance data from deployed Internet of Things (IoT) smart devices. For this purpose, mutual authentication is performed between a user and accessed smart devices via the cloud server(s) and the session keys are then established to make secure communication. The proposed scheme allows accessing real time video and older videos that are in cloud servers, and also user's credential update phase. Through the security analysis, it has been shown that the proposed scheme is robust against a variety of potential passive/active attacks. A detailed comparative study shows the efficacy of the proposed scheme as compared to other existing solutions. Finally, the real testbed experiments have been carried out for secure surveillance system using Raspberry PI devices as IoT devices, user's devices and servers to show its practical application. | Bagga, Palak; Mitra, Ankush; Das, Ashok Kumar; Vijayakumar, Pandi; Park, YoungHo; Karuppiah, Marimuthu | Int Inst Informat Technol, Ctr Secur Theory & Algorithm Res, Hyderabad 500032, India; Old Dominion Univ, Modeling Anal & Simulat Ctr, Suffolk, VA 23435 USA; Univ Coll Engn Tindivanam, Dept Comp Sci & Engn, Villupuram 604001, India; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; SRM Inst Sci & Technol, Dept Comp Sci & Engn, Delhi NCR Campus, Ghaziabad 201204, India | ; Pandi, Vijayakumar/Y-4636-2019; Karuppiah, Marimuthu/B-2653-2018; Das, Ashok Kumar/U-2790-2019; MITRA, ANKUSH/KII-5727-2024 | 57211317635; 57220183029; 55450732800; 57189497709; 56962990300; 57190179294 | palak.bagga@research.iiit.ac.in;ankush.mitra@students.iiit.ac.in;ashok.das@iiit.ac.in;parkyh@knu.ac.kr;marimuthume@gmail.com; | COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS | COMPUT COMMUN | 0140-3664 | 1873-703X | 195 | SCIE | COMPUTER SCIENCE, INFORMATION SYSTEMS;ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC;TELECOMMUNICATIONS | 2022 | 6 | 18.7 | 1.12 | 2025-06-25 | 8 | 13 | Internet of Things (IoT); Cloud computing; Access control; Key management; Video surveillance; Security; Testbed experiments | AUTHENTICATION; PROTOCOLS; INTERNET | Access control; Cloud computing; Internet of Things (IoT); Key management; Security; Testbed experiments; Video surveillance | Authentication; Biometrics; Cloud computing; Monitoring; Network security; Security systems; Testbeds; Cloud servers; Cloud-computing; Internet of thing; Key-management; Secure biometrics; Security; Smart devices; Testbed experiment; Video surveillance; Video surveillance systems; Internet of things | English | 2022 | 2022-11-01 | 10.1016/j.comcom.2022.08.003 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Sustainable Bioconversion of Wetland Plant Biomass for Pleurotus ostreatus var. florida Cultivation: Studies on Proximate and Biochemical Characterization | The abundant biomass growth of aquatic macrophytes in wetlands is one of the major concerns affecting their residing biota. Moreover, the biomass degenerates within the wetlands, thereby causing a remixing of nutrients and emission of greenhouse gases. Therefore, it is crucial to find sustainable methods to utilize the biomass of aquatic macrophytes devoid of environmental concerns. The present study investigates the utilization of the biomass of three aquatic macrophytes, including the lake sedge (CL: Carex lacustris Willd.), water hyacinth (EC: Eichhornia crassipes Mart. Solms), and sacred lotus (NL: Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) to produce oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus var. florida) mushrooms. For this purpose, different combinations of wheat straw (WS: as control) and macrophyte's biomass (WH) such as control (100% WH), CL50 (50% WH + 50% CL), CL100 (100% CL), EC50 (50% WH + 50% EC), EC100 (100% EC), NL50 (50% WH + 50% NL), and NL100 (100% NL) were used for P. florida cultivation under controlled laboratory conditions. The results showed that all selected combinations of wheat straw and macrophyte biomass supported the spawning and growth of P. florida. In particular, the maximum significant (p < 0.05) growth, yield, bioefficiency, proximate, and biochemical parameters were reported using the WH substrate followed by CL, NL, and EC biomass, which corresponds to the reduction efficiency of the substrate parameters. Therefore, the findings of this study reveal that the biomass of selected aquatic macrophytes can be effectively utilized for sustainable mushroom cultivation while minimizing the risk associated with their self-degeneration. | Elbagory, Mohssen; El-Nahrawy, Sahar; Omara, Alaa El-Dein; Eid, Ebrahem M.; Bachheti, Archana; Kumar, Pankaj; Abou Fayssal, Sami; Adelodun, Bashir; Bachheti, Rakesh Kumar; Kumar, Pankaj; Mioc, Boro; Kumar, Vinod; Siric, Ivan | King Khalid Univ, Fac Sci & Arts, Dept Biol, Mohail 61321, Saudi Arabia; Agr Res Ctr, Dept Microbiol, Soils Water & Environm Res Inst, Giza 12112, Egypt; King Khalid Univ, Coll Sci, Biol Dept, Abha 61321, Saudi Arabia; Kafrelsheikh Univ, Fac Sci, Bot Dept, Kafr Al Sheikh 33516, Egypt; Graph Era Univ, Dept Environm Sci, Dehra Dun 248002, Uttarankhand, India; Gurukula Kangri, Dept Zool & Environm Sci, Agroecol & Pollut Res Lab, Haridwar 249404, Uttarankhand, India; Univ Forestry, Fac Agron, Dept Agron, 10 Kliment Ohridski Blvd, Sofia 1797, Bulgaria; Lebanese Univ, Fac Agr, Dept Plant Prod, Beirut 1302, Lebanon; Univ Ilorin, Dept Agr & Biosyst Engn, Ilorin 240003, Nigeria; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Agr Civil Engn, Daegu 37224, South Korea; Addis Ababa Sci & Technol Univ, Coll Appl Sci, Dept Ind Chem, POB 16417, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Addis Ababa Sci & Technol Univ, Nanotechnol Ctr Excellence, POB 16417, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Univ Zagreb, Fac Agr, Svetosimunska 25, Zagreb 10000, Croatia | kumar, Pankaj/HPF-8395-2023; Omara, Alaa El-Dein/AAA-4516-2020; Kumar, P.Vinod/HKP-1552-2023; Abou Fayssal, Sami/ABF-6226-2020; bachheti, Archana/N-5749-2017; Adelodun, Bashir/O-2941-2018; Kumar, Dr. Vinod/K-9971-2016; Elbagory, Mohssen/HPC-9205-2023; Kumar, Pankaj/AAD-2135-2019; Eid, Ebrahem/O-2723-2013; Bachheti, Rakesh/AAS-1513-2020; Kumar, Pankaj/AAF-2231-2019 | 57223107987; 57203916313; 57203921215; 35794350700; 55437052500; 57281192700; 57218598581; 57193774482; 36623425100; 57212383972; 6602679448; 57200152850; 55233815400 | drvksorwal@gkv.ac.in;isiric@agr.hr; | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | AGRICULTURE-BASEL | 2077-0472 | 12 | 12 | SCIE | AGRONOMY | 2022 | 3.6 | 18.7 | 4.06 | 2025-06-25 | 29 | 39 | waste management; sustainable agriculture; mushroom cultivation; super foods; pollution reduction | PRETREATMENTS; MUSHROOMS; QUALITY | mushroom cultivation; pollution reduction; super foods; sustainable agriculture; waste management | English | 2022 | 2022-12 | 10.3390/agriculture12122095 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Feasibility of Single-Shot Whole Thoracic Time-Resolved MR Angiography to Evaluate Patients with Multiple Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations | Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of single-shot whole thoracic time-resolved MR angiography (TR-MRA) to identify the feeding arteries of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) and reperfusion of the lesion after embolization in patients with multiple PAVMs. Materials and Methods: Nine patients (8 females and 1 male; age range, 23-65 years) with a total of 62 PAVMs who underwent percutaneous embolization for multiple PAVMs and were subsequently followed up using TR-MRA and CT obtained within 6 months from each other were retrospectively reviewed. All imaging analyses were performed by two independent readers blinded to clinical information. The visibility of the feeding arteries on maximum intensity projection (MIP) reconstruction and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) TR-MRA images was evaluated by comparing them to CT as a reference. The accuracy of TR-MRA for diagnosing reperfusion of the PAVM after embolization was assessed in a subgroup with angiographic confirmation. The reliability between the readers in interpreting the TR-MRA results was analyzed using kappa (Kappa) statistics. Results: Feeding arteries were visible on the original MIP images of TR-MRA in 82.3% (51/62) and 85.5% (53/62) of readers 1 and 2, respectively. Using the MPR, the rates increased to 93.5% (58/62) and 95.2% (59/62), respectively (Kappa = 0.760 and 0.792, respectively). Factors for invisibility were the course of feeding arteries in the anteroposterior plane, proximity to large enhancing vessels, adjacency to the chest wall, pulsation of the heart, and small feeding arteries. Thirty-seven PAVMs in five patients had angiographic confirmation of reperfusion status after embolization (32 occlusions and 5 reperfusions). TR-MRA showed 100% (5/5) sensitivity and 100% (32/32, including three cases in which the feeding arteries were not visible on TR-MRA) specificity for both readers. Conclusion: Single-shot whole thoracic TR-MRA with MPR showed good visibility of the feeding arteries of PAVMs and high accuracy in diagnosing reperfusion after embolization. Single-shot whole thoracic TR-MRA may be a feasible method for the follow-up of patients with multiple PAVMs. | Hong, Jihoon; Lee, Sang Yub; Lim, Jae-Kwang; Lee, Jongmin; Park, Jongmin; Cha, Jung Guen; Lee, Hui Joong; Kim, Donghyeon | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Kyungpook Natl Univ Hosp, Sch Med, Dept Radiol, 680 Gukchaebosang Ro, Daegu 41944, South Korea; Gyeongbuk Reg Rehabil Hosp, Dept Radiol, Gyongsan, South Korea | ; Lee, Jongmin/AAR-6361-2020; Lee, Joo/C-3851-2013 | 57215858314; 56016177400; 55515341400; 55689919700; 57216463879; 57206855971; 23485776600; 57387224200 | lsyrad@gmail.com; | KOREAN JOURNAL OF RADIOLOGY | KOREAN J RADIOL | 1229-6929 | 2005-8330 | 23 | 8 | SCIE | RADIOLOGY, NUCLEAR MEDICINE & MEDICAL IMAGING | 2022 | 4.8 | 18.9 | 0.28 | 2025-06-25 | 2 | 2 | Time-resolved MR angiography; Pulmonary arteriovenous malformation; Computed tomography; Transcatheter embolization; Reperfusion | EMBOLIZATION; EMBOLOTHERAPY; REPERFUSION | Computed tomography; Pulmonary arteriovenous malformation; Reperfusion; Time-resolved MR angiography; Transcatheter embolization | Adult; Aged; Angiography; Arteriovenous Fistula; Arteriovenous Malformations; Embolization, Therapeutic; Feasibility Studies; Female; Humans; Male; Middle Aged; Pulmonary Artery; Pulmonary Veins; Reproducibility of Results; Retrospective Studies; Treatment Outcome; Young Adult; contrast medium; gadolinium; gadoteridol; adult; aged; algorithm; angiography; arterial embolization; arteriovenous malformation; artery; Article; artificial embolization; clinical article; computed tomographic angiography; computer assisted tomography; controlled study; data analysis software; diffusion weighted imaging; dynamic contrast enhanced computed tomography; feeding arteries; female; follow up; human; image analysis; imaging; kappa statistics; magnetic resonance angiography; male; maximum intensity projection; middle aged; multiplanar reconstruction; nuclear magnetic resonance imaging; pulmonary arteriovenous fistula; reperfusion; retrospective study; sensitivity and specificity; T1 weighted imaging; thorax wall; time resolved magnetic resonance angiography; young adult; angiography; arteriovenous fistula; arteriovenous malformation; artificial embolization; diagnostic imaging; feasibility study; pathology; procedures; pulmonary artery; pulmonary vein; reproducibility; treatment outcome | English | 2022 | 2022-08 | 10.3348/kjr.2022.0140 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 |
