| ○ | Article | THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL AND CREATIVE PRODUCTS BASED ON THE PERSPECTIVE OF LOW-CARBON ECOLOGY RENEWABLE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MATERIALS AS AN EXAMPLE | Polylactic acid (PLA) is a type of bio-based, renewable, environmentally friendly plastic with good biodegradability, biocompatibility, mechanical strength and processing performance. It has broad application prospects in cultural and creative products, textiles and garments, and other fields. However, PLA has disadvantages such as poor toughness, poor heat resistance, and poor hydrolysis resistance, which limit its application. In this work, PLA was modified by melt blending with an epoxidized elastomer (EVM-GMA) and crystallization behaviour control. The PLA/EVM-GMA composite material was the end product, which exhibited excellent toughness and heat resistance. Studies showed that the EVM-g-PLA copolymer formed in situ during the melt blending of PLA and EVM-GMA has improved compatibility between PLA and EVM-GMA and significantly improved toughness of the PLLA/PDLA blend system. When the content of EVM-GMA was 20 wt%, the elongation at break and the notched impact strength of the PLLA/PDLA/EVM-GMA composites reached 48 % and 65.5 kJ/m(2), respectively, which was higher than that of PLLA/PDLA (50/50). The elongation and notched impact strength were increased by 15 times and 18 times, respectively. Since the two-step annealing treatment formed a high content of stereocomposite crystals, the PLLA/PDLA/EVM-GMA composite also exhibited excellent heat resistance (HDT > 140 degrees C), chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance. | Liu, Weishang; Liu, Jinde; Wei, Xinyu; Shi, Mingxi; Li, Ran; Li, Jingmei | Yanshan Univ, Arts & Design Sch, Qinhuangdao 066000, Hebei, Peoples R China; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Coll Arts, Daegu 427724, South Korea | li, ran/GPW-6786-2022; liu, jinde/HJP-5119-2023 | abhlpx@163.com; | FRESENIUS ENVIRONMENTAL BULLETIN | 1018-4619 | 1610-2304 | 31 | 6A | 0 | Polylactic acid; epoxidized elastomer; toughness; heat resistance; renewable; plastic | IN-SITU COMPATIBILIZATION; REACTIVE COMB POLYMERS; POLY(LACTIC ACID); BEHAVIOR; CRYSTALLIZATION; CRYSTALLINITY; BLENDS | English | 2022 | 2022 | 바로가기 | ||||||||||||||||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | The effect of B2B service experience on repurchase intention: Focus on roles of organizational agility and customer knowledge sharing | As the importance of services grows, many business-to-business (B2B) firms are enhancing the value of customer service experience by digitally transforming services to find a point of differentiation from competitors. This study investigates the effect of service experience on repurchase intention in the capital goods industry and examines the roles of organizational agility as a mediator and customer knowledge sharing as a moderator. Data were collected from 264 customers and U.S. firms. Moreover, partial least squares structural equation modeling was used for the analysis. Results revealed a positive and significant relationship between service experience and organizational agility, and between organizational agility and repurchase intention. Additionally, organizational agility mediates the positive and significant relationship between service experiences and repurchase intention. Finally, customer knowledge sharing plays a positive and crucial moderating role in the relationship between service experience and organizational agility. These findings are a step forward from the existing conceptual study on service experience and demonstrate that the firm's organizational agility enhances the customer's service experience and influences repurchasing intention between the period of the customer's initial purchasing behavior and the next repurchase. This study contributes to the literature on service experience in the B2B service setting. | Jang, Seochul; Bae, Joonheui; Kim, Kyung Hoon | Changwon Natl Univ, Dept Business Adm, Chang Won, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Business Adm, 80 Daehak Ro, Daegu, South Korea | Bae, Joonheui/JXM-6789-2024 | 58111575200; 57202349513; 55710559700 | regina721@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF GLOBAL SCHOLARS OF MARKETING SCIENCE | J GLOB SCHOLARS MARK | 2163-9159 | 2163-9167 | 32 | 4 | ESCI | BUSINESS | 2022 | 1.6 | 0.5 | 2025-06-25 | 3 | 4 | Service experience; social exchange theory; customer knowledge sharing; organizational agility; repurchase intention | INFORMATION-TECHNOLOGY; SATISFACTION; PARTICIPATION; CREATION | customer knowledge sharing; organizational agility; repurchase intention; Service experience; social exchange theory | English | 2022 | 2022-10-02 | 10.1080/21639159.2022.2105245 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||

| ○ | Article | The Effects of Exports, FDI, and Innovation Competence on the Efficiency and Profitability of Privatized SOEs in China | Purpose – This study investigates the effects of exports, foreign direct investment (FDI), and innovation competence on the efficiency and profitability of privatized Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Design/Methodology/Approach – We apply fixed effects regressions after estimating the corporate efficiency using data envelopment analysis (DEA) methodology by industry around privatization. We use a panel dataset of Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2017, with 10,950 year-firm data of RESSET and China Stock Market & Accounting Research (CSMAR) databases. To reflect the complicated relationships between exports, FDI, innovation competence, efficiency, and profitability of privatized firms, we apply simultaneous equations models. Findings – First, the privatization of SOEs in China improves their innovation competence, measured in the number of patents, overall corporate efficiency, and firms’ exports. Second, the innovation competence of firms improves their corporate efficiency and exporting capability, but it aggravates their profitability. Moreover, research and development (R&D) expenditures improve their innovation competence and return on assets, but these expenditures aggravate their efficiency and exports. Third, the corporate efficiency of privatized SOEs improves their profitability for 5 years after privatization, including the year. Fourth, exports have inverse U-shaped effects on efficiency and return on assets, and on their innovation competence. Fifth, overseas direct investments have inverse U-shaped effects both on innovation competence and efficiency and return on assets, whereas their effects on exports are not significant. Sixth, the positive effects of privatization on corporate profitability and such U-shaped effects of exports on corporate profitability last for one year after privatization, whereas the U-shaped effects of FDI last for 3 years. Research Implications – The privatization of Chinese SOEs has successfully improved their technological efficiency and profitability for a short time, which turns adversely afterward. The results imply that privatized firms need improvements in the efficiency of technological innovation and R&D investments for longer-term improvements in profitability and global competitiveness. © 2022 International Academy of Global Business and Trade. | ○ | ○ | Article | The Efficient Processing of Moving k-Farthest Neighbor Queries in Road Networks | Given a set of facilities F and a query point q, a k-farthest neighbor (kFN) query returns the k farthest facilities f(1) , f(1) ,... , f(k) from q. This study considers the moving k-farthest neighbor (MkFN) query that constantly retrieves the k facilities farthest from a moving query point q in a road network. The main challenge in processing MkFN queries in road networks is avoiding the repeated retrieval of candidate facilities as the query point arbitrarily moves along the road network. To this end, this study proposes a moving farthest search algorithm (MOFA) to compute valid segments for the query segment in which the query point is located. Each valid segment has the same k facilities farthest from the query locations in the valid segment. Therefore, MOFA retrieves candidate facilities only once for the query segment and computes valid segments using these candidate facilities, thereby avoiding the repeated retrieval of candidate facilities when the query point moves. An empirical study using real-world road networks demonstrates the superiority and scalability of MOFA compared to a conventional solution. | Cho, Hyung-Ju | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Software, 2559 Gyeongsang Daero, Sangju Si 37224, South Korea | 55177091600 | hyungju@knu.ac.kr; | ALGORITHMS | ALGORITHMS | 1999-4893 | 15 | 7 | ESCI | COMPUTER SCIENCE, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE;COMPUTER SCIENCE, THEORY & METHODS | 2022 | 2.3 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 0 | moving k-farthest neighbor query; spatial databases; batch processing algorithm; road network | REVERSE FURTHEST NEIGHBORS; NEAREST-NEIGHBOR | batch processing algorithm; moving k-farthest neighbor query; road network; spatial databases | Batch data processing; Motor transportation; Query processing; Batch processing algorithm; Moving k-far neighbor query; Moving query; Neighbor query; Point moves; Query points; Query segments; Road network; Search Algorithms; Spatial database; Roads and streets | English | 2022 | 2022-07 | 10.3390/a15070223 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | The Impact of Chinese Economic Structural Changes on Korea's Exports to China* | We examine the structural changes of the Chinese economy and analyse how those changes have affected Korea's exports to China. Focusing on the evolution of Chinese development strategy and the changing role of China in global value chain during 2000s, we separate the role of Chinese external demand and domestic demand in Korea's exports to China. We also shed light on the driving force among Chinese GDP expenditure components in Korea's exports to China for different periods of time. The subsample analysis shows that Chinese external demand had a significant impact on Korea's exports to China before 2008, while Chinese domestic demand became important afterwards. More specifically, we find that Chinese investment is the most dominant expenditure component in determining Korea's exports to China in recent times. | Shin, Kotbee; Choi, Bo-Young | Chungnam Natl Univ, Dept Econ, Daejeon, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Econ & Int Trade, Daegu, South Korea | 57285808900; 57226503191 | bychoi2@knu.ac.kr; | INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC JOURNAL | INT ECON J | 1016-8737 | 1743-517X | 36 | 3 | ESCI | ECONOMICS | 2022 | 1.1 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 0 | Chinese structural changes; Korea's exports to China; VAR | TRADE | Chinese structural changes; Korea’s exports to China; VAR | English | 2022 | 2022-07-03 | 10.1080/10168737.2022.2091634 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||

| ○ | ○ | Article | THE LIMITS OF A LABEL: FRAMING EASTERN ASIA'S TERRITORIAL CONFLICTS FOR A U.S.-AMERICAN AUDIENCE | This article explores limits to the framing power of several important short terms and phrases typically used within eastern Asia's international politics. It conceptualises these labels as terminological frames. As frames, these terms/phrases help to set agendas, categorise, emphasise certain perspectives while excluding others from view, and ultimately shape opinions about controversial issues within international politics. Yet, I argue, the limits of frames have been insufficiently explored, especially as frames are taken to new audiences whose understanding of the broader discourses associated with the issues are weaker than that of the original audience. Do these terms still produce framing effects outside of eastern Asia? The study relied on a short survey of 800 U.S.-Americans. Respondents answered differing versions of questions relating to eastern Asian maritime politics in order to ascertain whether the wording and labels used affect evaluation of political issues. Specifically, the survey sought to determine whether use of East Sea vs. Sea of Japan, Northern Territories vs. Southern Kurils, and South China Sea vs. East Sea affected views of maritime disputes and issues relating to Korea, Japan, Russia, China/Taiwan, and Vietnam. It also explored whether an increasingly central phrase in eastern Asia's maritime territorial disputes-"inherent territory"-presented a stronger claim than other possible phrases claiming territory. Survey results showed no statistical difference through use of one term or label over another. Thus, a certain type of limit to the power of these terminological frames was found. Nevertheless, the survey additionally demonstrated that producing framing effects required only a slight addition to the terminology, confirming the ease of framing international political issues to partisan effect. | Yorgason, Ethan | Kyungpook Natl Univ, 80 Daehak Ro, Daegu 41566, South Korea | 14008308300 | yorgason@knu.ac.kr; | INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ASIA PACIFIC STUDIES | INT J ASIA PAC STUD | 1823-6243 | 18 | 1 | ESCI | SOCIAL SCIENCES, INTERDISCIPLINARY | 2022 | 0.3 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 0 | East Asia; territorial disputes; framing; discourse; toponyms | GEOPOLITICS; DISPUTE; CONSTITUTION; CHINA; PEACE | Discourse; East Asia; Framing; Territorial disputes; Toponyms | English | 2022 | 2022 | 10.21315/ijaps2022.18.1.1 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||||
