| ○ | Article | Fermentation characteristics of yakju supplemented with Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus L.) and co-fermented by inulin-degrading yeast Wickerhamomyces anomalus JS01 and Saccharomyces cerevisiae KMBL7001 | Jerusalem artichoke (JA, Helianthus tuberosus L.) is a promising functional food material. JA consists of inulin and fructo-oligosaccharide which are indigestible carbohydrates in human. Previous research has develop various food products supplemented with JA, however no studies have involved yakju (Korean traditional rice wine) using JA because Saccharomyces cerevisiae cannot utilize inulin. We isolated several inulin-degrading non-Saccharomyces yeasts using nuruk (a traditional Korean fermentation starter). The isolate with the highest inulinase activity was Wickerhamomyces anomalus JS01 with 538.14 Unit/mL after 72 hours of incubation. To identify whether the inulin-degrading non-Saccharomyces yeast could improve yakju quality, W. anomalus JS01 and S. cerevisiae KMBL7001 were co-fermented to produce yakju supplemented with JA. We investigated the fermentation characteristics. At the completion of the fermentation process, the yakju co-fermented with W. anomalus JS01 and S. cerevisiae KMBL7001 (co-fermented yakju) had similar fermentation characteristics including pH, reducing sugar, alcohol, and organic acid contents compared to yakju fermented with S. cerevisiae KMBL7001 (control yakju). Moreover, co-fermented yakju had higher total amino acid contents compared with the control yakju. The W. anomalus JS01 digested some inulin into fructose which was fermented. Conversely, the control wine did not ferment any inulin during fermentation. As a result of the sensory evaluation, the co-fermented yakju obtained higher scores in all the sensory categories, suggesting that supplementing with JA and utilizing inulin-degrading yeast could improve yakju quality. | ○ | ○ | Article | Fertility preservation in women: where we are now and the path we need to take | Background: In its short history, reproductive medicine has achieved many fertility-related milestones, including: the arrival of in vitro fertilization in the late 1970s, the development of intracytoplasmic sperm injection in the early 1990s, the first ovarian transplant a decade ago, and the first livebirth after uterine transplantation in 2014. This paper provides a brief overview of the indications and methods, as well as future perspectives, available for fertility preservation. Current Concepts: More women are undergoing fertility preservation for medical or social reasons. Fertility preservation aids cancer patients in retaining the ability to procreate. Despite the high survival rate of malignancies in young patients, chemotherapy and whole abdominal irradiation have cytotoxic effects on reproductive organs. Cancer treatments can significantly reduce a patient's reproductive capacity and thus result in irreversible infertility. Early ovarian failure is also a common by-product of additional cancer treatment, bone marrow transplantation, or autologous transplantation. The current options for fertility preservation in cancer patients include cryopreservation (of embryos, oocytes, and ovarian tissue) and gonadotropic-releasing hormone agonist treatment (before and during chemotherapy). Fertility preservation is a means for female cancer patients to preserve their fertility and delay childbearing. Fertility preservation can also aid women who wish to delay childbearing for personal reasons. Since the indications for fertility preservation are different for each patient, individualized treatment strategies should be employed depending on the patient's situation. Discussion and Conclusion: Health professionals must inform women who are undergoing cancer treatments or purposefully delaying childbearing about the risks of decreased fertility. Appropriate fertility preservation options must be provided for these female patients. | Lee, Jisun; Lee, Taek Hoo | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Kyungpook Natl Univ Hosp, Sch Med, Dept Obstet & Gynecol, Daegu, South Korea | 57216463710; 56122334300 | thlee@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION | J KOREAN MED ASSOC | 1975-8456 | 2093-5951 | 65 | 6 | ESCI | MEDICINE, GENERAL & INTERNAL | 2022 | 0.3 | 0.16 | 2025-06-25 | 1 | 1 | Fertility preservation; Chemotherapy; Radiotherapy; Cryopreservation; Ovarian reserve | BREAST-CANCER; CRYOPRESERVATION; THERAPY; BIRTH | Chemotherapy; Cryopreservation; Fertility preservation; Ovarian reserve; Radiotherapy | gonadorelin agonist; abdominal radiotherapy; Article; autotransplantation; bone marrow transplantation; cancer chemotherapy; cancer patient; cancer radiotherapy; cancer survival; cryopreservation; cytotoxicity; female; female fertility; fertility preservation; human; oocyte; ovary insufficiency; ovary tissue; pregnancy | Korean | 2022 | 2022-06 | 10.5124/jkma.2022.65.6.316 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Proceedings Paper | Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control for Five-Level Modified Active Nested Neutral Point Clamped Converter | The classical nested neutral-point-clamped (NNPC) and nested T-type converters experience large voltage fluctuations across the flying capacitors (FCs). To deal with the issue, this paper proposes a new five-level modified active NNPC (5L-MANNPC) converter that is free from dc-link capacitors. The key feature of such configuration is that it eliminates the need for additional control loop for dc-link voltage balancing. The mathematical model of the converter is developed, and a finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) approach is designed to achieve accurate tracking of the output current and voltage balance across the FCs for the proposed converter. Lower FC voltage ripples and less optimization targets are the main merits of the proposed topology. The experimental results are provided to validate the feasibility of the proposed converter. | Ding, Wenyuan; Faraji, Faramarz; Jayan, Vijesh; Zuo, Wang; Ghias, Amer M. Y. | ○ | Article | Fire Evacuation System Using Beacon for Hard-of-Hearning People | In the event of a fire in the building, hard-of-hearing people are not aware of the signal output from the general-purpose fire alarm, making it difficult to evacuate in time. To solve these problems, existing fire escape alarms for the hard-of-hearing people exist. This alarm is attached to a wall and outputs a fire alarm through a flash or vibration. However, this type of alarm, like the problem with conventional general-purpose fire alarms, will not be able to communicate the fire situation unless the hard-of-hearing people are located in an observable space. Therefore, this paper designed and implemented a fire evacuation system that helps hard-of-hearing people to receive fire alarms and evacuate in time no matter where they are in the room by using beacon transmitter and receivers to solve the problems described earlier. © 2022, Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences. | ○ | ○ | Article | Fire Safety Knowledge of Firefighting Equipment among Local and Foreign University Students | Despite the risks at university laboratories, university students are still marginalized from safety management in university laboratories. In addition, the existing studies related to the fire safety knowledge of university laboratories, do not consider the fire safety knowledge of university students with respect to firefighting equipment and the increasing number of foreign university students. To overcome this gap, we conducted a survey on 273 foreign and 144 local students and identified the differences in fire safety knowledge and those in comprehension and response related to firefighting equipment among the participants through statistical analysis. The results of the survey, where respondents were classified into four groups by gender and nationality, found significant differences in fire safety knowledge between gender and nationality. All the groups had difficulty in directly extinguishing a fire using fire extinguishing equipment. The results of this study, that is, those pertaining to the differences in fire safety knowledge depending on the gender and nationality of students and types of firefighting systems are expected to be used as basic data to establish safety education and management plans in the future. | Zhang, Chu; Hong, Won-Hwa; Bae, Young-Hoon | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Architectural Civil Environm & Energy Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Pukyong Natl Univ, Res Inst Intelligent Fire Safety Technol & Human, Busan 48513, South Korea | 57926948900; 7401527968; 57217673662 | byh0105@gmail.com; | INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND PUBLIC HEALTH | 1660-4601 | 19 | 19 | 0.45 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 5 | fire safety knowledge; university students; firefighting equipment | LABORATORIES; CULTURE | fire safety knowledge; firefighting equipment; university students | Fires; Humans; Safety Management; Students; Universities; BRCA2 protein; melanoma antigen 3; future prospect; knowledge based system; safety; student; university sector; adult; aged; Article; cancer susceptibility; disease predisposition; female; gene mutation; genetic screening; human; human tissue; immunohistochemistry; immunoreactivity; major clinical study; ovary cancer; overall survival; progression free survival; protein expression; tissue microarray; fire; safety; student; university | English | 2022 | 2022-10 | 10.3390/ijerph191912239 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||||||||
| ○ | Article | First Report of Pectobacterium brasiliense Causing Soft Rot on Graft Cactus in Korea | The graft cactus (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) continues to be exported to more than 20 countries worldwide. In April 2021, typical bacterial symptoms of soft rot were observed in the graft cactus (cv. Yeonbit) in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, resulting in economic losses in cactus production. The stems turned dark brown and the flowers were covered with black rot. The bacterial strain designated as KNUB-01-21 was isolated from infected stems and flowers. The results of the morphological and biochemical tests of the isolate were similar to those of Pectobacterium brasiliense. For molecular analysis, the 16S rRNA region and three housekeeping genes (dnaX, leuS, and recA) of the strain KNUB-01-21 were amplified. Based on the results of the molecular analysis and morphological and biochemical tests, KNUB-01-21 was identified as P. brasiliense. The pathogenicity of KNUB-01-21 on graft cactus was confirmed by an inoculation test. Artificial inoculation using P. brasiliense KNUB-01-21 produced soft rot symptoms on the grafted cactus, and the same bacterium was re-isolated and re-identified. This is the first report of P. brasiliense causing soft rot in graft cactus in Korea. © The Korean Society of Plant Pathology. | Park, Kyoung-Taek; Hong, Soo-Min; Back, Chang-Gi; Kim, San Yeong; Lee, Seung-Yeol; Kang, In-Kyu; Ten, Leonid N.; Jung, Hee-Young | School of Applied Biosciences, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea; School of Applied Biosciences, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea; Horticultural and Herbal Crop Environment Division, National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science, Rural Development Administration, Wanju, 55365, South Korea; Gumi Floriculture Research Institute, Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, Gumi, 39102, South Korea; School of Applied Biosciences, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea, Institute of Plant Medicine, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea; Department of Horticultural Science, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea; School of Applied Biosciences, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea; School of Applied Biosciences, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea, Institute of Plant Medicine, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, 41566, South Korea | 57966696200; 57424231800; 36144957400; 57193271121; 56106499600; 56577308800; 6603039265; 7403029383 | heeyoung@knu.ac.kr; | Research in Plant Disease | 1598-2262 | 28 | 3 | 0.67 | 2025-06-25 | 7 | Graft cactus; Gymnocalycium mihanovichii; Pathogenicity; Pectobacterium brasiliense; Soft rot | English | Final | 2022 | 10.5423/rpd.2022.28.3.172 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||||||||||||||

| ○ | Article | First Report of Xenoroussoella triseptata Isolated from Soil in Korea | A fungal strain, designated KNUF-20-NI009, was isolated from soil collected from Gunsansi, Jeollabuk-do, Korea. The isolate showed cultural features typical of the genus Xenoroussoella. Colonies cultivated on malt extract agar were olivaceous-brown to pale olivaceous-white at the margins, with undersides of dark olivaceous to olivaceous-brown and a white margin. The conidia, with a size range of 2.7-5.1×1.6-3.3 μm (x¯=3.6×2.6 μm, n=50), were globoid to ellipsoid in shape, hyaline when immature, becoming light brown to golden-brown when mature, and characterized by 1 or 2 guttules. Multi-locus sequence analysis based on a combined dataset of internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS), large subunit rDNA (LSU), small subunit rDNA (SSU), translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF1α), and RNA polymerase II largest subunit (RPB2) sequences revealed KNUF-20-NI009 to be a strain of Xenoroussoella triseptata. | ○ | Article | First-principles Density Functional Theory Calculation of Bulk SnO2 and Grain Boundaries | SnO2 has attracted much attention as an electron transport layer in semiconductor devices such as halide perovskite solar cells. In this study, the atomic and electronic structures of SnO2 were investigated using various exchange-correlation functionals and van der Waals corrections. We also performed both non-self-consistent and self-consistent field calculations using hybrid density functional theory to improve the electronic structure. When six calculation methods were compared, the smaller the lattice constants, the larger the band gap value obtained. The stability of the [120] grain boundary in SnO2 was also investigated, and different structures could be stabilized depending on the chemical potential of oxygen. © 2022 The Korean Physical Society. | ○ | Conference paper | Flash-Cosmos: In-Flash Bulk Bitwise Operations Using Inherent Computation Capability of NAND Flash Memory | Bulk bitwise operations, i. e., bitwise operations on large bit vectors, are prevalent in a wide range of important application domains, including databases, graph processing, genome analysis, cryptography, and hyper-dimensional computing. In conventional systems, the performance and energy efficiency of bulk bitwise operations are bottlenecked by data movement between the compute units (e.g., CPUs and GPUs) and the memory hierarchy. In-flash processing (i. e., processing data inside NAND flash chips) has a high potential to accelerate bulk bitwise operations by fundamentally reducing data movement through the entire memory hierarchy, especially when the processed data does not fit into main memory. We identify two key limitations of the state-of-the-art in-flash processing technique for bulk bitwise operations; (i) it falls short of maximally exploiting the bit-level parallelism of bulk bitwise operations that could be enabled by leveraging the unique cell-array architecture and operating principles of NAND flash memory; (ii) it is unreliable because it is not designed to take into account the highly error-prone nature of NAND flash memory. We propose Flash-Cosmos (Flash C omputation with-O ne-S hot M ulti-O perand S ensing), a new in-flash processing technique that significantly increases the performance and energy efficiency of bulk bitwise operations while providing high reliability. Flash-Cosmos introduces two key mechanisms that can be easily supported in modern NAND flash chips: (i) M ulti-W ordline S ensing (MWS), which enables bulk bitwise operations on a large number of operands (tens of operands) with a single sensing operation, and (ii) E nhanced S LC-mode P rogramming (ESP), which enables reliable computation inside NAND flash memory. We demonstrate the feasibility of performing bulk bitwise operations with high reliability in Flash-Cosmos by testing 160 real 3D NAND flash chips. Our evaluation shows that Flash-Cosmos improves average performance and energy efficiency by 3.5 × /32 × and 3.3 × /95 ×, respectively, over the state-of-the-art in-flash/outside-storage processing techniques across three real-world applications. © 2022 IEEE. | Park, Jisung; Azizi, Roknoddin; Oliveira, Geraldo F.; Sadrosadati, Mohammad; Nadig, Rakesh; Novo, David; Gomez-Luna, Juan; Kim, Myungsuk; Mutlu, Onur | Eth, Zürich, Switzerland, Postech; Eth, Zürich, Switzerland; Eth, Zürich, Switzerland; Eth, Zürich, Switzerland; Eth, Zürich, Switzerland; Lirmm, Univ. | ○ | ○ | Article | Flexible Energy Harvesting Device Based on Porous Piezoelectric Sponge | Piezoelectric composite films which are enabled by inorganic piezoelectric nanomaterials-embedded polymer, have attracted enormous attention as a sustainable power source for low powered electronics, because of their ease of fabrication and flexible nature. However, the absorption of applied stress by the soft polymeric matrices is a major issue that must be solved to expand the fields of piezoelectric composite applications. Herein, a flexible and porous piezoelectric composite (piezoelectric sponge) comprised of BaTiO3 nanoparticles and polydimethylsiloxane was developed using template method to enhance the energy conversion efficiency by minimizing the stress that vanishes into the polymer matrix. In the porous structure, effective stress transfer can occur between the piezoelectric active materials in compression mode due to direct contact between the ceramic particles embedded in the pore-polymer interface. The piezoelectric sponge with 30 wt% of BaTiO3 particles generated an open-circuit voltage of similar to 12 V and a short-circuit current of similar to 150 nA. A finite element method-based simulation was conducted to theoretically back up that the piezoelectric output performance was effectively improved by introducing the sponge structure. Furthermore, to demonstrate the feasibility of pressure detecting applications using the BaTiO3 particles-embedded piezoelectric sponge, the composite was arranged in a 3 x 3 array and integrated into a single pressure sensor. The fabricated sensor array successfully detected the shape of the applied pressure. This work can provide a cost-effective, biocompatible, and structural strategy for realizing piezoelectric composite-based energy harvesters and self-powered sensors with improved energy conversion efficiency. | Heo, Dong Hun; Hyeon, Dong Yeol; Park, Sung Cheol; Park, Kwi-Il | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Mat Sci & Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea | Hyeon, Dong Yeol/HNR-5711-2023; Park, Kwiil/LKN-9445-2024 | 57564646300; 57209099464; 57191670545; 35280874200 | kipark@knu.ac.kr; | KOREAN JOURNAL OF MATERIALS RESEARCH | KOR J MATER RES | 1225-0562 | 2287-7258 | 32 | 11 | ESCI | MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2022 | 0.3 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 0 | BaTiO3; porous piezoelectric sponge; energy harvesting; nanocomposite; sensor array | NANOCOMPOSITE GENERATOR; LARGE-AREA; NANOPARTICLES; COMPOSITES; PARTICLES | BaTiO3; energy harvesting; nanocomposite; porous piezoelectric sponge; sensor array | Barium titanate; Biocompatibility; Cost effectiveness; Energy conversion efficiency; Energy efficiency; Finite element method; Flexible electronics; Nanocomposite films; Open circuit voltage; Piezoelectricity; Polymer films; Polymer matrix composites; Silicones; Energy conversion efficiency; Energy harvesting device; Inorganics; Is-enabled; Piezoelectric; Piezoelectric composite; Porous piezoelectric sponge; Porous piezoelectrics; Sensors array; Sustainable power; Energy harvesting | Korean | 2022 | 2022-11 | 10.3740/mrsk.2022.32.11.508 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | Article | Flow rate prediction at Paldang Bridge using deep learning models | Recently, in the field of water resource engineering, interest in predicting time series water levels and flow rates using deep learning technology that has rapidly developed along with the Fourth Industrial Revolution is increasing. In addition, although water-level and flow-rate prediction have been performed using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model that can predict time-series data, the accuracy of flow-rate prediction in rivers with rapid temporal fluctuations was predicted to be very low compared to that of water-level prediction. In this study, the Paldang Bridge Station of the Han River, which has a large flow-rate fluctuation and little influence from tidal waves in the estuary, was selected. In addition, time-series data with large flow fluctuations were selected to collect water-level and flow-rate data for 2 years and 7 months, which are relatively short in data length, to be used as training and prediction data for the LSTM and GRU models. When learning time-series water levels with very high time fluctuation in two models, the predicted water-level results in both models secured appropriate accuracy compared to observation water levels, but when training rapidly temporal fluctuation flow rates directly in two models, the predicted flow rates deteriorated significantly. Therefore, in this study, in order to accurately predict the rapidly changing flow rate, the water-level data predicted by the two models could be used as input data for the rating curve to significantly improve the prediction accuracy of the flow rates. Finally, the results of this study are expected to be sufficiently used as the data of flood warning system in urban rivers where the observation length of hydrological data is not relatively long and the flow-rate changes rapidly. © 2022 Korea Water Resources Association. | Seong, Yeongjeong; Park, Kidoo; Jung, Younghun | Department of Advanced Science and Technology Convergence, Kyungpook National University, Sangju, South Korea; Emergency Management Institute, Kyungpook National University, Sangju, South Korea; Department of Advanced Science and Technology Convergence, Kyungpook National University, Sangju, South Korea | 57202956507; 57204532542; 55195880200 | hydrol88@knu.ac.kr; | Journal of Korea Water Resources Association | 2799-8746 | 55 | 8 | 0.09 | 2025-06-25 | 1 | Flood warning system; Flow-rate prediction; GRU model; LSTM model; Rating curve; Water-level prediction | Korean | Final | 2022 | 10.3741/jkwra.2022.55.8.565 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||||||||||||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Fragmented Task Scheduling for Load-Balanced Fog Computing Based on Q-Learning | 5G and beyond (B5G) applications generate tremendous computing-intensive, latency-sensitive, and privacy-sensitive tasks, which differ from the legacy cloud computing tasks, requiring more sophisticated scheduling strategies. We must satisfy the stringent service requirements, particularly privacy preservation that has not been sufficiently considered in the past. Meanwhile, we need to balance the tasks offloaded to different edge nodes to avoid overwhelming some fog nodes, which may degrade the overall performance. To appropriately schedule the privacy-sensitive tasks while balancing the traffic load, we define IoT tasks according to their security need, processing time, and real-time requirement and segment IoT tasks into smaller pieces based on their privacy levels. The sliced tasks are scheduled to multiple fog nodes with satisfactory security reputations to avoid a compromised fog node handling a whole task. Meanwhile, we consider the constraint of the response time of all available fog nodes before scheduling IoT tasks to avoid chaos task scheduling that may overwhelm some fog nodes. Regarding this, we propose a reinforcement learning (RL) model in which the agent tends to satisfy the required latency and security requirements while avoiding overloading some fog nodes to minimize the average delay. The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed approach performs well in a better-balanced load and less performance violation in latency and security. | Razaq, Mian Muaz; Rahim, Shahnila; Tak, Byungchul; Peng, Limei | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Comp Sci & Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea | Rahim, Shahnila/LRC-2927-2024; Razaq, Muaz/ACN-8991-2022 | 57221661906; 57416456600; 6506911621; 7201574271 | auroraplm@knu.ac.kr; | WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS & MOBILE COMPUTING | 1530-8669 | 1530-8677 | 2022 | 2.28 | 2025-06-25 | 15 | 28 | ENERGY | 5G mobile communication systems; Fog computing; Internet of things; Multitasking; Reinforcement learning; Scheduling; Scheduling algorithms; Cloud-computing; Computing-task; Load-balanced; Performance; Privacy preservation; Q-learning; Scheduling strategies; Service requirements; Stringents; Tasks scheduling; Fog | English | 2022 | 2022-03-10 | 10.1155/2022/4218696 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||||||||||
| ○ | ○ | Proceedings Paper | Function Execution Log Based Judgment System for Arduino Learning Practice | The automatic judgment system, which has been widely used in recent programming lectures, is being developed mainly in a language that is performed based on a console. Embedded systems such as Arduino require more effort from instructors to guide students, but research on systems that support them is slow. In order to support this, this paper intends to support instructors and students by developing an Arduino practice judgment system based on a function execution log. The Arduino practice judgment system can perform Arduino practice judgment by processing the Fritzing output and the source code execution result in the form of a function execution log rather than the actual Arduino HW. In addition, it was shown that the system can be applied to actual lectures to make lectures more efficient. | Seo, Kangbok; Lee, Woojin | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Comp Sci & Engn, Daegu, South Korea | Lee, Woojin/AAZ-1735-2020 | 57195260523; 55682653854 | dating1227@gmail.com;woojin@knu.ac.kr; | INTELLIGENT TUTORING SYSTEMS, ITS 2022 | 0302-9743 | 1611-3349 | 13284 | 0.21 | 2025-06-25 | 1 | 1 | Automated assessment; Programming education; Automated feedback; Arduino practice | Arduino practice; Automated assessment; Automated feedback; Programming education | Embedded systems; Arduino practice; Automated assessment; Automated feedback; Code execution; Embedded-system; Execution logs; Programming education; Programming lectures; Source codes; Students | English | 2022 | 2022 | 10.1007/978-3-031-09680-8_2 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||||||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Gas Sorption Analysis of Metal-organic Frameworks using Microresonators | Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are porous materials with nano-sized pores. The degree of gas adsorption and pore size can be controlled according to types of metal ions and organic ligands. Many studies have been conducted on MOFs in the fields of gas storage and separation, and gas sensors. For rapid and quantitative gas adsorption/desorption analyses, it is necessary to form various MOF structures in uniform films on a sensor surface. In this review, some of representative direct methods for uniformly synthesizing MOFs such as MIL-53 (Al), ZIF-8, and Cu-BDC from anodized aluminum oxide, zinc oxide nanorods, and copper thin films, respectively on the surface of a microresonator are highlighted. In addition, the operation principle of quartz crystal microbalance and microcantilever, which are representative microresonators, and the interpretation of signals that change when gas is adsorbed to MOFs are covered. This is intended to enhance the understanding of gas adsorption/desorption analysis of MOFs using microresonators. | Kim, Hamin; Choi, Hyun-Kuk; Kim, Moon-Gab; Lee, Young-Sei; Yim, Changyong | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Nano & Mat Sci & Engn, Sangju 37224, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Adv Sci & Technol Convergence, Sangju 37224, South Korea | Yim, Changyong/AAI-8356-2020 | 57220873621; 8550872100; 7406088151; 36013623600; 36877182000 | hamin.kim0816@knu.ac.kr;hk_choi@knu.ac.kr;mg_kim@knu.ac.kr;ysl@knu.ac.kr;cy.yim@knu.ac.kr; | APPLIED CHEMISTRY FOR ENGINEERING | APPL CHEM ENG | 1225-0112 | 1228-4505 | 33 | 1 | ESCI | ENGINEERING, CHEMICAL | 2022 | 0.5 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 0 | Metal-organic frameworks; Microcantilever; Quartz crystal microbalance; Gas sorption analysis | ADSORPTION EQUILIBRIUM; ACTIVATED CARBONS; SO2 | Gas sorption analysis; Metal-organic frameworks; Microcantilever; Quartz crystal microbalance | Korean | 2022 | 2022-02 | 10.14478/ace.2021.1104 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 |
