| ○ | ○ | Article | Interference-Induced Photon Antibunching in a Cavity QED Setup with a Three-Level Atom | Interference-induced photon antibunching is investigated for a three-level system coupled to a cavity mode, in which the level scheme is of a lambda type. One of the transitions is weakly coupled to the cavity mode while the other is driven by a control field. Without the control field,i.e., in the conventional cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) scheme in the weak coupling regime, photon antibunching can be achieved by carefully choosing the coupling strength and the detuning. This condition can be alleviated by tuning the strength and the frequency of the control field. The condition for the optimal control field that yields photon blockade is derived, and the effects of changing various parameters are investigated. For a given a set of dissipation rates, the atom-cavity coupling strengthgneeds to be higher than a certain threshold value, although the whole system still remains in the weak coupling regime. A numerical method for finding the optimal parameter regime is proposed. | Noh, Changsuk | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Daegu 41566, South Korea | 23991025500 | cnoh@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY | J KOREAN PHYS SOC | 0374-4884 | 1976-8524 | 77 | 1 | SCIE | PHYSICS, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 0.649 | 92.4 | 0.07 | 2025-06-25 | 1 | 1 | Photon anti-bunching; Cavity QED; Unconventional photon blockade | BLOCKADE | Cavity QED; Photon anti-bunching; Unconventional photon blockade | English | 2020 | 2020-07 | 10.3938/jkps.77.60 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Investigation of the Luminescence Properties of Dy³⁺doped Lu3Ga2Al3O12Phosphors for X-ray Imaging and White LEDs | In this research, Dy3+-doped Lu(3)Ga(2)Al(3)O(12)phosphor was synthesized by using the combustion method with a solid state reaction at 1500 degrees C for 12 hours in a furnace. Host materials such as Lu2O3, Ga2O3, Al(2)O(3)and activator such as Dy(2)O(3)were used. The crystal structure and the lattice constants were confirmed by using X-ray diffraction. The emission spectrum of the Dy3+-doped Lu(3)Ga(2)Al(3)O(12)phosphor under excitations by UV light and X-rays showed peaks at 482 nm, 580 nm, 670 nm and 760 nm due to electron transitions from the(4)F(9/2)to the(6)H(j)orbited. The Lu3Ga2Al3O12:Dy(3+)phosphor emits blue, green-yellow and red light when excited by UV light and X-rays. The CIE chromaticity diagram for the emission spectrum gives a color close to white, which indicates that Dy3+-doped Lu(3)Ga(2)Al(3)O(12)phosphor may be a good material for use in a light-emitting diode. The Lu3Ga2Al3O12:Dy(3+)phosphor has a high sensitivity to X-rays and gamma rays because of its high Z-number (Z(eff)= 57) and density. Therefore, the Lu3Ga2Al3O12:Dy(3+)phosphor can be applied for X-ray imaging in medical fields. | Oh, M. J.; Saha, Sudipta; Kim, H. | ○ | ○ | Article | Pulse-shape Discrimination of Fast Neutron Background using Convolutional Neural Network for NEOS II | Pulse-shape discrimination plays a key role in improving the signal-to-background ratio in NEOS analysis by removing fast neutrons. Identifying particles by looking at the tail of the waveform has been an effective and plausible approach for pulse-shape discrimination, but has the limitation in sorting low energy particles. As a good alternative, the convolutional neural network can scan the entire waveform as they are to recognize the characteristics of the pulse and perform shape classification of NEOS data. This network provides a powerful identification tool for all energy ranges and helps to search unprecedented phenomena of low-energy, a few MeV or less, neutrinos. | Jeong, Y.; Han, B. Y.; Jeon, E. | ○ | ○ | Article | Suppression of Parasitic Epitaxy Growth and Realization of High-Quality Wafer Surface Passivation of Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells | Intrinsic hydrogenated amorphous silicon (i-a-Si:H) films lead to excellent surface passivation of crystalline silicon wafers. However, a-Si:H deposition on a crystalline silicon wafer often results in undesired epitaxy growth, which deteriorates the passivation property, In this paper, we studied the influence of varying plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) parameters, such as the product of the gas pressure (P) and the electrode distance (Di) and the hydrogen dilution ratio (P = SiH4/(H-2 + SiH4) x 100), on the passivation quality and the properties of silicon heterojunction (SHJ) solar cells. Measurements showed that proper combinations of high P x D-i and large P values can yield high minority carrier lifetimes (MCLTs) of passivated silicon wafers. Also, the tendency of MCLTs measured from passivated wafers is the same as that for open circuit voltages (V-oc) of fabricated SHJ solar cells. A high V-oc is obtained from SHJ solar cells when unwanted epitaxial growth is minimized at the wafer surface. | An, Jeong-Ho; Hong, Ji-Eun; Oh, Joon-Ho; Kong, Seong Ho; Kim, Ka-Hyun | Korea Inst Energy Res, Adv Energy Technol R&D Ctr, Ulsan 44776, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Coll IT Engn, Sch Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Chungbuk Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Cheongju 28644, South Korea | Kim, Jaeheon/KLC-8792-2024 | 57215721867; 57217710886; 36984560700; 57204537951; 36011671500 | jh.oh@kier.re.kr;kahyunkim@cbnu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY | J KOREAN PHYS SOC | 0374-4884 | 1976-8524 | 76 | 5 | SCIE | PHYSICS, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 0.649 | 92.4 | 0.13 | 2025-06-25 | 3 | 4 | Silicon solar cells; Heterojunctions; Amorphous semiconductors; Plasma-enhanced chemical-vapor deposition | MICROCRYSTALLINE SILICON; AMORPHOUS-SILICON; TEMPERATURE; PERFORMANCE; LAYER | Amorphous semiconductors; Heterojunctions; Plasma-enhanced chemical-vapor deposition; Silicon solar cells | English | 2020 | 2020-03 | 10.3938/jkps.76.442 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Van der Waals Heteroepitaxy of Te Crystallites/2H-MoTe2 Atomically Thin Films on GaAs Substrates by Using Metal-Organic Chemical-Vapor Deposition | Te crystallites/few atomic-layer MoTe2 films grown on (100) GaAs substrates by using metal-organic chemical - vapor deposition (MOCVD) were investigated. MOCVD provides high-quality films, controllable film thickness, composition uniformity, and scalability to wafer scale size via the pyrolysis process of metal-organic sources. We observed several tens of nanometers of Te crystallites/three atomic layers 2H phase MoTe2 on the GaAs substrates. This observation was confirmed by using Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy, cross-sectional scanning transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. A two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenide deposited on GaAs by using the van der Waals epitaxy is a promising method for the development of future high-performance optoelectronic and electronic devices. | Kim, Tae Wan; Kim, Donghwan; Jo, Yonghee; Park, Jonghoo; Kim, Hyun-Seok; Shin, ChaeHo | Jeonbuk Natl Univ, Dept Elect Engn, Jeonju 54896, South Korea; Jeonbuk Natl Univ, Smart Grid Res Ctr, Jeonju 54896, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Dongguk Univ Seoul, Div Elect & Elect Engn, Seoul 04620, South Korea; Korea Res Inst Stand & Sci, Div Ind Metrol, Daejeon 34113, South Korea; Korea Res Inst Stand & Sci, Adv Instrumentat Inst, Daejeon 34113, South Korea | Kim, Tae/D-9792-2015 | 57199878285; 58602410800; 57646774900; 57196408322; 53663604300; 55391691600 | twkim@jbnu.ac.kr;chaeho.shin@kriss.re.kr; | JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY | J KOREAN PHYS SOC | 0374-4884 | 1976-8524 | 76 | 2 | SCIE | PHYSICS, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 0.649 | 92.4 | 0 | 2025-06-25 | 2 | 2 | TMDs; MoTe2; MOCVD; Heterostructure; III-V semiconductor | GROWTH | Heterostructure; III-V semiconductor; MOCVD; MoTe2 ; TMDs | English | 2020 | 2020-01 | 10.3938/jkps.76.167 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Delayed Spontaneous Eruption of Severely Infraoccluded Primary Second Molar: Two Case Reports | Infraocclusion occurs at an early age and becomes worse with age, causing increased damage in young children. Extraction of affected teeth is the preferred treatment modality for prevention of possible complications. It is rare for a primary molar to temporarily exhibit secondary failure of eruption, followed by regeneration of full eruptive capacity. This report was written to describe two patients who experienced spontaneous eruption of an infraoccluded primary molar at approximately 7 years of age. While watchful waiting is not always a suitable treatment option, we propose that extraction be deferred until the first permanent molar erupts, unless significant problems occur. | Oh, Na-Young; Nam, Soon-Hyeun; Lee, Jae-Sik; Kim, Hyun-Jung | Kyung Pook Natl Univ, Dept Pediat Dent, Sch Dent, 2175 Dalgubeol Daero, Daegu, South Korea | 57217993723; 33967922500; 57193887436; 57196215346 | jungkim@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF CLINICAL PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY | J CLIN PEDIATR DENT | 1053-4628 | 1557-5268 | 44 | 3 | SCIE | DENTISTRY, ORAL SURGERY & MEDICINE;PEDIATRICS | 2020 | 1.065 | 92.6 | 0.24 | 2025-06-25 | 5 | 6 | infraocclusion; ankylosis; primary molar; spontaneous eruption | DECIDUOUS MOLARS; PERMANENT SUCCESSOR; RETENTION; ETIOLOGY; TEETH | Ankylosis; Infraocclusion; Primary molar; Spontaneous eruption | Child; Child, Preschool; Dental Arch; Humans; Molar; Tooth Eruption; Tooth, Deciduous; case report; child; deciduous tooth; human; molar tooth; preschool child; tooth arch; tooth eruption | English | 2020 | 2020 | 10.17796/1053-4625-44.3.9 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||
| ○ | Article | Morphological Changes of Frankel Functional Regulator III in Mixed Dentition with Class III Malocclusion | The aim of this study was to evaluate the hard and soft tissue profile changes following treatment of functional and mild skeletal class III malocclusion in mixed dentition by means of the Frankel functional regulator (FR-3) appliance, and to reveal the mechanism and effectiveness of treatment with FR-3 appliance. Twenty-six patients (chronological mean age, 8.7 +/- 1.4 years; mean treatment duration, 10.3 +/- 1.3 months) with functional and mild skeletal class III malocclusion were selected and treated with FR-3 appliances. Lateral cephalogram was taken pre-and post-treatment, and the data was analyzed by paired-samples t test with SPSS22.0 software package. Differences were considered statistically significant at P < 0.05. The results demonstrated that the FR-3 appliance produced a statistically significant decrease in L1-NB, L1-MP, U1-L1 (P<0.01) and an increase greatly in ANB, MP-FH, Y axis, ANS-Me, ANS-Me/N-Me and overjet (P<0.01). SNA, SNB were increased significantly (P<0.05). Meanwhile, N'-Sn-Pog', ULSn-SN, LLSi-SN increased, S-N'-Si, LL-EP decreased with significant difference (P<0.01). S-N'-Sn, Cm-Sn-UL, UL-EP, Sn-Mes and Ns-Mes increased with significant difference (P<0.05). Therefore it was concluded that after FR-3 treatment, the position of mandible may rotate clockwise backwards and downwards, with the labioversion of upper incisors and linguoversion of lower incisors. Although point A moved mesially, the length and position of the maxilla did not change significantly. With the protrusion of upper lip and the retrusion of lower lip, the relationship among nose, upper lip, lower lip and chin become harmonious, the profile of soft tissue is more coordinated and attractive. | Ji, Li-Li; Sun, Dan-Xu; Shi, Ling-Bo; Kyung, Hee-Moon; Bing, Li; Wu, Xiu-Ping | Shanxi Med Univ, Sch Dent, Dept Orthodont, Taiyuan, Peoples R China; Shanxi Prov Key Lab Oral Dis Prevent & New Mat, Taiyuan, Peoples R China; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Dent, Dept Orthodont, Daegu, South Korea | Li, Bing/CAF-7418-2022 | 77wxp@163.com; | INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MORPHOLOGY | INT J MORPHOL | 0717-9502 | 0717-9367 | 38 | 4 | SCIE | ANATOMY & MORPHOLOGY | 2020 | 0.519 | 92.9 | 3 | Class III malocclusion; Frankel functional regulator III; Cephalometric analysis; Morphological changes | MAXILLARY EXPANSION; PROFILE CHANGES | English | 2020 | 2020-08 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||||||||||

| ○ | ○ | Article | ISO 15926-based integration of process plant life-cycle information including maintenance activity | Many organizations in different locations with different cultures and languages participate in the construction and operation of process plants. The data generated by each stakeholder involved in the plant life-cycle are closely related to each other. Therefore, it is important to link and integrate the various data created by each stakeholder. In this study, a method of integrating plant life-cycle data, including the equipment maintenance history, was proposed based on the International Organization for Standardization 15926 standard. To this end, a data model for integrating plant life-cycle data, including maintenance, was developed using the International Organization for Standardization 15926 standard. The proposed method was validated by developing a prototype system and performing experiments converting and visualizing life-cycle data, including maintenance history in the International Organization for Standardization 15926 format, using sample data from a refinery plant. | Kim, Byung Chul; Kim, Bongcheol; Park, Sangjin; Teijgeler, Hans; Mun, Duhwan | Korea Univ Technol & Educ, Sch Mech Engn, Cheonan Si, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Precis Mech Engn, 2559 Gyeongsang Daero, Sangju 37224, Gyeongsangbuk D, South Korea; OntoConsult, Bj Schoorl, Netherlands | Mun, Duhwan/AAC-5360-2020 | 57191495002; 57201637193; 57192189923; 52063988600; 23019305700 | dhmun@knu.ac.kr; | CONCURRENT ENGINEERING-RESEARCH AND APPLICATIONS | CONCURRENT ENG-RES A | 1063-293X | 1531-2003 | 28 | 1 | SCIE | COMPUTER SCIENCE, INTERDISCIPLINARY APPLICATIONS;ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING;OPERATIONS RESEARCH & MANAGEMENT SCIENCE | 2020 | 1.038 | 93.0 | 0.54 | 2025-06-25 | 9 | 10 | data integration; ISO 15926; maintenance history; operation and maintenance; plant life-cycle data; process plant | EQUIPMENT; REUSE | data integration; ISO 15926; maintenance history; operation and maintenance; plant life-cycle data; process plant | International cooperation; Life cycle; Maintenance; Standardization; Equipment maintenance; Integrating plant; International organization for standardizations; ISO 15926; Maintenance activity; Operation and maintenance; Plant life cycles; Process plants; Data integration | English | 2020 | 2020-03 | 10.1177/1063293x19894041 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |
| ○ | ○ | Article | Big Data Analyses of Korea's Nation Branding on Google and Facebook | Big Data researchers have typically focused on images, trends, risk management, storytelling tools, and marketing. However, research into nation branding content disseminated through online platforms remains scarce. In this exploratory study, we collected data regarding Korea's nation branding and related material from Google and Facebook (the most widely used search engine and the most popular social networking service, respectively). By semantically analyzing this data, we provide a structural understanding of international perspectives on Korean culture. Online platforms serve as infrastructures that governments use to develop and distribute various applications throughout the world. The link between nation branding and the Korean Wave highlights the need for additional research examining the specific elements of Korea's nation brand and the branding strategies deployed via online platforms. | Chung, Chung Joo; Rhee, Yunna; Cha, Heewon | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Daegu, South Korea; Hankuk Univ Foreign Studies, Seoul, South Korea; Ewha Womans Univ, Seoul, South Korea | 55463815000; 55744165500; 35772462700 | cjchung@knu.ac.kr;yrhee@hufs.ac.kr;heewon@ewha.ac.kr; | KOREA OBSERVER | KOREA OBS | 0023-3919 | 51 | 1 | SSCI | AREA STUDIES;INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS | 2020 | 0.286 | 93.1 | 1.06 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 4 | Big Data; nation brand; Korean Wave; semantic network analysis; online platform | SITES | Big Data; Korean Wave; Nation brand; Online platform; Semantic network analysis | English | 2020 | 2020-봄 | 10.29152/koiks.2020.51.1.151 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | Article | Effect of Reaction Product of Epichlorohydrin and Imidazole on the Electrodeposition Behavior of Zn-Ni Alloy from Alkaline Zincate Solution | Electrodeposition of Zn-Ni alloy was performed on a Cu electrode at a current density of 10-5000 A.km(-2) and a charge of 5 x 10(4) C.m(-2) in an unagitated zincate solution at 293 K containing the reaction product of epichlorohydrin and imidazole as brightener. The effect of brightener on the deposition behavior of Zn-Ni alloy was investigated. The transfer current density at which the deposition behavior shifts from the normal type to anomalous was 50 to 100 km(2) in brightener-free solution, while it became 10 to 20 A.m(-2) with an addition of brightener, indicating that the brightener greatly decreased the transfer current density. The transfer current density corresponded to the current density at which the potential of total polarization curve significantly shifted from the more noble region than the equilibrium potential of Zn to less noble region. With an addition of brightener, the decrease in transfer current density is attributed to suppression of hydrogen evolution, and the current efficiency for alloy deposition at high current density region decreased due to suppression of both Zn and Ni deposition. The Ni content of deposited films decreased with brightener, indicating that Ni deposition was more suppressed with brightener. With increasing current density, the crystals of films deposited from the solution containing brightener became smooth and showed the significant brightness. The oxidation re action of films deposited from the solution containing brightener is suppressed, as a resuit, the corrosion potential shifted to noble direction. | Bae, Seonghwa; Oue, Satoshi; Son, In-Joon; Nakano, Hiroaki | Kyushu Univ, Grad Sch Engn, Fukuoka, Japan; Kyushu Univ, Fac Engn, Fukuoka, Japan; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Mat Sci & Met, Daegu, South Korea | nakano@zaiko.kyushu-u.ac.jp; | TETSU TO HAGANE-JOURNAL OF THE IRON AND STEEL INSTITUTE OF JAPAN | TETSU TO HAGANE | 0021-1575 | 1883-2954 | 107 | 3 | SCIE | METALLURGY & METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING | 2020 | 0.536 | 93.1 | 3 | zincate; zinc-nickel alloy; electrodeposition; brightener; anomalous codeposition; polarization curve; current density; transfer current; current efficiency; corrosion potential | Chinese | 2020 | 2020-03 | 10.2355/tetsutohagane.tetsu-2020-108 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||||||||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Discrete Fourier transform-based method for analysis of a vibrato tone | Vibrato is one of the most common musical techniques used for the enrichment of vocal and musical instrument sounds. We propose a method that can analyse the intonation, vibrato rate, and vibrato extent of a vibrato tone as a function of time, which is based on the discrete Fourier transform of its fundamental frequency trajectory. According to experimental results, the proposed method is robust to the irregularities in the fundamental frequency trajectory. In addition, the proposed method provides different results for intonation and vibrato extent from those of Prame's method when the fundamental frequency trajectory is not perfectly sinusoidal. | Pang, Hee-Suk; Lim, Jun-seok; Lee, Seokjin | Sejong Univ, Dept Elect Engn, Seoul, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Elect Engn, Daehak Ro 80, Daegu 41566, South Korea | 35099284400; 7403454336; 36174416200 | sjlee6@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF NEW MUSIC RESEARCH | J NEW MUSIC RES | 0929-8215 | 1744-5027 | 49 | 4 | SCIE;AHCI | COMPUTER SCIENCE, INTERDISCIPLINARY APPLICATIONS;MUSIC | 2020 | 1.143 | 93.2 | 1.88 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 4 | Vibrato; discrete Fourier transform; acoustics; audio analysis; music analysis | MUSIC PERFORMANCE; FREQUENCY; EXTENT; EXTRACTION; COMPONENTS; ALGORITHM; ACCURACY; WINDOWS; VIOLIN; VOICE | acoustics; audio analysis; discrete Fourier transform; music analysis; Vibrato | English | 2020 | 2020-08-07 | 10.1080/09298215.2020.1784959 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Multicenter experience with percutaneous coronary intervention for chronic total occlusion in Korean population: analysis of the Korean nationwide multicenter chronic total occlusion registry | Objectives Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO) remains challenging because of limited success and higher target vessel failure rates. Detailed safety and efficacy data for CTO-PCI from a multicenter real-world Korean registry are limited. Methods Since May 2007, the Korean multicenter retrospective CTO registry has enrolled 3271 patients who underwent CTO-PCI at 26 major medical centers. Baseline clinical, angiographic, and procedural characteristics and 12-month major adverse cardiac event (MACE) rates after PCI were retrospectively collected. Results Baseline cardiovascular risk factors included: male sex, 73.8%; prior myocardial infarction (MI), 14.8%; prior PCI, 26.6%; hypertension, 62.3%; diabetes mellitus, 34.8%; dyslipidemia, 33.3%; and current smoker, 30.9%. Pre-PCI myocardial viability testing was performed in 23.6% of patients and pre-PCI cardiac computed tomography (CT) in 17.6%. CTO arterial lesions were distributed as follows: right coronary, 41.0%; left anterior descending, 40.0%; left circumflex, 22.5%; and left main, 0.4%. Unfavorable lesion morphology was detected by angiography in 38.1%. Intravascular ultrasound guidance and the retrograde approach were utilized in 23.6 and 3.1% of CTO-PCI procedures, respectively. More than 75% of patients received drug-eluting stents (sirolimus-eluting, 26.5%; paclitaxel-eluting, 23.8%; zotarolimus-eluting, 23.4%; everolimus-eluting, 11.0%; and others, 4.0%). The overall success rate was 81.6% (2672/3271 patients). Twelve-month event rates were: total mortality, 2.4%; any MI, 0.7%; target lesion revascularization, 4.4%; target vessel revascularization, 6.7%; and total MACE, 9.4%. Conclusions Twelve-month success rates, safety profiles, and cumulative clinical outcomes of Korean CTO patients were favorable post-PCI. Long-term follow-up of larger study populations is necessary to validate our findings. | Rha, Seung-Woon; Choi, Byoung Geol; Choi, Se Yeon; Choi, Cheol Ung; Gwon, Hyeon-Cheol; Chae, In-Ho; Kim, Hyo-Soo; Park, Hun Sik; Lee, Seung-Hwan; Kim, Moo-Hyun; Hur, Seung-Ho; Jang, Yangsoo | Korea Univ, Cardiovasc Ctr, Guro Hosp, 148 Gurodong Ro, Seoul 08308, South Korea; Cardiovasc Intervent Res Inst, Seoul, South Korea; Hanyang Univ, Dept Comp Sci, Seoul, South Korea; Sungkyunkwan Univ, Samsung Med Ctr, Sch Med, Seoul, South Korea; Seoul Natl Univ Hosp, Seoul, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ Hosp, Daegu, South Korea; Yonsei Univ, Wonju Severance Christian Hosp, Wonju Coll Med, Seoul, South Korea; Dong A Univ Hosp, Busan, South Korea; Keimyung Univ, Dongsan Med Ctr, Daegu, South Korea; Yonsei Univ, Severance Cardiovasc Hosp, Coll Med, Seoul, South Korea | Rha, Seung-Woon/AGE-5810-2022; Jang, Yang/D-4803-2012; Kim, Minyeong/JHU-5269-2023; Choi, So/AAV-1947-2020; Kim, Hyo/J-2753-2012; Park, Hang-soo/AEH-1640-2022; Lee, Seung Hwan/AAE-4710-2022; Choi, Won/V-2730-2017; Chae, In-Ho/J-5682-2012 | 8569030400; 57192178767; 57199723581; 15046409800; 6603262426; 35274374100; 33567809200; 57198844106; 56714956900; 55686265600; 34570274500; 55429942500 | swrha617@yahoo.co.kr; | CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE | CORONARY ARTERY DIS | 0954-6928 | 1473-5830 | 31 | 4 | SCIE | CARDIAC & CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEMS | 2020 | 1.439 | 93.3 | 0.33 | 2025-06-25 | 6 | 6 | chronic total occlusion; drug-eluting stent; percutaneous coronary intervention | LEFT-VENTRICULAR FUNCTION; ARTERY; IMPACT; REVASCULARIZATION; RECANALIZATION; PREDICTORS; MORTALITY; OUTCOMES; SUCCESS | chronic total occlusion; drug-eluting stent; percutaneous coronary intervention | Chronic Disease; Coronary Angiography; Coronary Occlusion; Female; Follow-Up Studies; Humans; Incidence; Male; Middle Aged; Percutaneous Coronary Intervention; Registries; Republic of Korea; Retrospective Studies; chronic disease; clinical trial; coronary angiography; coronary artery occlusion; female; follow up; human; incidence; male; middle aged; multicenter study; percutaneous coronary intervention; procedures; register; retrospective study; South Korea | English | 2020 | 2020-06 | 10.1097/mca.0000000000000838 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |
| ○ | ○ | Article | One-year clinical outcomes of coronary chronic total occlusion intervention in patients with acute coronary syndrome versus stable angina: from the Korean chronic total occlusion registry | Background: Chronic total occlusion intervention remains challenging and detailed real-world data on the safety and efficacy of which are limited. This study sought to determine whether there are differences in the 1-year clinical outcomes between chronic total occlusion patients with acute coronary syndrome and stable angina following chronic total occlusion intervention. Patients and methods: Data from the Korean chronic total occlusion registry were collected from May 2003 to September 2012, and a total of 3268 patients who underwent chronic total occlusion intervention were enrolled. Cardiovascular outcomes up to 12 months in the acute coronary syndrome group were compared with stable angina group. Results: The acute coronary syndrome group consisted of 1657 patients, and stable angina group consisted of 1264 patients. In the acute coronary syndrome group, patients with successful chronic total occlusion intervention had a lower incidence of total death and cardiac death compared to patients with failed intervention. However, there were no significant differences in cardiovascular events in the stable angina group. The successful chronic total occlusion intervention was a significant prognostic factor for lower total death (P= 0.006, hazard ratio = 0.46) and cardiac death (P= 0.003, hazard ratio = 0.36) within acute coronary syndrome group. On the other hand, successful chronic total occlusion intervention was not a prognostic factor for cardiovascular events within stable angina group. Conclusions: Successful chronic total occlusion intervention in acute coronary syndrome patients was associated with a lower incidence of cardiovascular outcome compared to patients with failed chronic total occlusion intervention. | Choi, Jah Yeon; Choi, Byoung Geol; Rha, Seung-Woon; Mashaly, Ahmed; Abdelshafi, Kareem; Choi, Cheol Ung; Yu, Cheol Woong; Gwon, Hyeon-Cheol; Chae, In-Ho; Kim, Hyo-Soo; Park, Hun Sik; Lee, Seung-Hwan; Kim, Moo-Hyun; Hur, Seung-Ho; Jang, Yangsoo | Korea Univ, Guro Hosp, Cardiovasc Ctr, 148 Gurodong Ro, Seoul 08308, South Korea; Korea Univ, Dept Med, Grad Sch, Seoul, South Korea; Korea Univ, Cardiovasc Ctr, Anam Hosp, Seoul, South Korea; Sungkyunkwan Univ, Samsung Med Ctr, Sch Med, Seoul, South Korea; Seoul Natl Univ Hosp, Seoul, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ Hosp, Daegu, South Korea; Yonsei Univ, Wonju Severance Christian Hosp, Wonju Coll Med, Seoul, South Korea; Dong A Univ Hosp, Busan, South Korea; Keimyung Univ, Dongsan Med Ctr, Daegu, South Korea; Yonsei Univ, Severance Cardiovasc Hosp, Coll Med, Seoul, South Korea | ; Choi, Jah/AAA-4835-2022; Lee, Seung Hwan/AAE-4710-2022; Choi, So/AAV-1947-2020; Kim, Hyo/J-2753-2012; Chae, In-Ho/J-5682-2012; Kim, Minyeong/JHU-5269-2023; Jang, Yang/D-4803-2012; Rha, Seung-Woon/AGE-5810-2022; Park, Hang-soo/AEH-1640-2022 | 56706628900; 57192178767; 8569030400; 57193991066; 57203321938; 15046409800; 54586299100; 6603262426; 35274374100; 33567809200; 57217702327; 56714956900; 55686265600; 34570274500; 55429942500 | swrha617@yahoo.co.kr; | CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE | CORONARY ARTERY DIS | 0954-6928 | 1473-5830 | 31 | 5 | SCIE | CARDIAC & CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEMS | 2020 | 1.439 | 93.3 | 0.41 | 2025-06-25 | 5 | 6 | acute coronary syndrome; chronic total occlusion; percutaneous coronary intervention; stable angina | LONG-TERM MORTALITY; PROGNOSTIC IMPACT; ARTERY-DISEASE; INFARCT SIZE; FOLLOW-UP; ANGIOPLASTY; ANGIOGRAPHY | acute coronary syndrome; chronic total occlusion; percutaneous coronary intervention; stable angina | Acute Coronary Syndrome; Aged; Angina, Stable; Coronary Angiography; Coronary Occlusion; Female; Follow-Up Studies; Humans; Incidence; Male; Middle Aged; Percutaneous Coronary Intervention; Prognosis; Registries; Republic of Korea; Retrospective Studies; Risk Assessment; Risk Factors; Time Factors; acute coronary syndrome; aged; clinical trial; complication; coronary angiography; coronary artery occlusion; female; follow up; human; incidence; male; middle aged; multicenter study; percutaneous coronary intervention; prognosis; register; retrospective study; risk assessment; risk factor; South Korea; stable angina pectoris; time factor | English | 2020 | 2020-08 | 10.1097/mca.0000000000000880 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |
| ○ | ○ | Article | EAR CANAL INSERTION-TYPE PIEZOELECTRIC BONE CONDUCTION ACTUATOR OF BRIDGE STRUCTURE | Hearing loss in people is increasing because of a rise in the usage of wireless audio multimedia devices. Hearing aids are used as representative hearing rehabilitation devices. Bone conduction hearing aids are recommended for problems in the eardrum and middle ear. Bone conduction is classified according to the driving method into two types, electromagnetic and piezoelectric. Electromagnetic bone conduction causes skin disease and aesthetic problems due to transplantation, high power consumption, and external interference. Piezoelectric bone conduction converts electrical energy into mechanical vibrations, and the characteristics change linearly with size. However, the driving force of ear canal insertion of the piezoelectric body is limited because of the ear canal anatomy. In this paper, a piezoelectric actuator with a bridge structure inserted into the ear canal is proposed. The proposed method is that the displacement amplification ratio was derived using the formula of a bridge-type structure, and the displacement and resonance frequency were derived by finite element analysis (FEA) using different variables. The piezoelectric actuator was fabricated on the basis of FEA simulation results and verified through an artificial mastoid for stimulation in the ear canal. It is expected that the proposed piezoelectric actuator can be used in the various fields for sound and precision control. | Kim, Do Yeon; Na, Sung Dae; Seong, Ki Woong; Kim, Myoung Nam | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Grad Sch, Dept Med & Biol Engn, Daegu 700422, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ Hosp, Dept Biomed Engn, Daegu 700422, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Med, Dept Biomed Engn, Daegu 700422, South Korea | Kim, Sunghoon/Z-2981-2019 | 57203869498; 56366244500; 23968197900; 57212315655 | my1004you2@naver.com;bluepoison14@gmail.com;seongkw@ee.knu.ac.kr;kimmn@knu.ac.kr; | JOURNAL OF MECHANICS IN MEDICINE AND BIOLOGY | J MECH MED BIOL | 0219-5194 | 1793-6810 | 20 | 10 | SCIE | BIOPHYSICS;ENGINEERING, BIOMEDICAL | 2020 | 0.897 | 93.7 | 0.07 | 2025-06-25 | 1 | 1 | Actuator; piezoelectric; displacement; resonance frequency; bone conduction; finite element analysis | Actuator; bone conduction; displacement; finite element analysis; piezoelectric; resonance frequency | Audition; Hearing aids; Piezoelectricity; Vibrations (mechanical); Bridge structures; Displacement amplification; Electrical energy; External interference; High power consumption; Precision control; Rehabilitation devices; Resonance frequencies; Piezoelectric actuators | English | 2020 | 2020-12 | 10.1142/s0219519420400266 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 |
