| ○ | ○ | Article | Electrochemical Performance of 2D-Hierarchical Sheet-Like ZnCo2O4Microstructures for Supercapacitor Applications | With the rapid improvement of the global economy, the role of energy has become even more vital in the 21st century. In this regard, energy storage/conversion devices have become a major, worldwide research focus. In response to this, we have prepared two-dimensional (2D)-hierarchical sheet-like ZnCo(2)O(4)microstructures for supercapacitor applications using a simple hydrothermal method. The 2D-hierarchical sheet-like morphologies with large surface area and smaller thickness enhanced the contact area of active material with the electrolyte, which increased the utilization rate. We investigated the electrochemical performance of sheet-like ZnCo(2)O(4)microstructures while using Cyclic voltammetry (CV), Galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD), and Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis. The electrochemical results demonstrated that the ZnCo(2)O(4)electrode possesses 16.13 mF cm(-2)of areal capacitance at 10 mu A cm(-2)of current density and outstanding cycling performance (170% of capacitance is retained after 1000 cycles at 500 mu A cm(-2)). The high areal capacitance and outstanding cycling performance due to the unique sheet-like morphology of the ZnCo(2)O(4)electrode makes it an excellent candidate for supercapacitor applications. | Prasad, Kumcham; Reddy, Gutturu Rajasekhara; Rajesh, Megala; Babu, P. | ○ | ○ | Review | Graphene to Advanced MoS2: A Review of Structure, Synthesis, and Optoelectronic Device Application | In contrast to zero-dimensional (0D), one-dimensional (1D), and even their bulk equivalents, in two-dimensional (2D) layered materials, charge carriers are confined across thickness and are empowered to move across the planes. The features of 2D structures, such as quantum confinement, high absorption coefficient, high surface-to-volume ratio, and tunable bandgap, make them an encouraging contestant in various fields such as electronics, energy storage, catalysis, etc. In this review, we provide a gentle introduction to the 2D family, then a brief description of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), mainly focusing on MoS2, followed by the crystal structure and synthesis of MoS2, and finally wet chemistry methods. Later on, applications of MoS2 in dye-sensitized, organic, and perovskite solar cells are discussed. MoS2 has impressive optoelectronic properties; due to the fact of its tunable work function, it can be used as a transport layer, buffer layer, and as an absorber layer in heterojunction solar cells. A power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 8.40% as an absorber and 13.3% as carrier transfer layer have been reported for MoS2-based organic and perovskite solar cells, respectively. Moreover, MoS2 is a potential replacement for the platinum counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells with a PCE of 7.50%. This review also highlights the incorporation of MoS2 in silicon-based heterostructures where graphene/MoS2/n-Si-based heterojunction solar cell devices exhibit a PCE of 11.1%. | Nawz, Tahreem; Safdar, Amna; Hussain, Muzammil; Sung Lee, Dae; Siyar, Muhammad | Natl Univ Sci & Technol, Sch Chem & Mat Engn, Dept Mat Engn, H-12, Islamabad 44000, Pakistan; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Environm Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea | ; Safdar, Amna/IAN-4427-2023 | 57219306483; 56919385100; 58279975000; 55568524907; 56311587900 | tnawz.nse6@scme.nust.edu.pk;amna.safdar@scme.nust.edu.pk;muhammad.siyar@scme.nust.edu.pk;daesung@knu.ac.kr; | CRYSTALS | CRYSTALS | 2073-4352 | 10 | 10 | SCIE | CRYSTALLOGRAPHY;MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 2.589 | 34.0 | 2.01 | 2025-06-25 | 57 | 58 | 2D materials; heterostructure solar cells; MoS2; graphene | TRANSITION-METAL DICHALCOGENIDES; LIQUID-PHASE EXFOLIATION; PEROVSKITE SOLAR-CELLS; FEW-LAYER GRAPHENE; HOLE-TRANSPORTING MATERIAL; SINGLE-LAYER; LARGE-AREA; ELECTROCHEMICAL EXFOLIATION; 2-DIMENSIONAL MATERIALS; LITHIUM INTERCALATION | 2D materials; Graphene; Heterostructure solar cells; MoS2 | English | 2020 | 2020-10 | 10.3390/cryst10100902 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Influence of Thermal Annealing on the PdAl/Au Metal Stack Ohmic Contacts to p-AlGaN | In this study, a PdAl (20 nm)/Au (30 nm) metal stack scheme is used for forming low-ohmic-resistance contact on Mg-doped (1.5 x 10(17) cm(-3)) p-type AlGaN at various annealing temperatures. Using a circular-transmission line model, the specific contact resistance ((rho)(c)) of PdAl/Au/p-AlGaN ohmic contact is determined via the current-voltage (I-V) characteristics. As-deposited contacts demonstrate non-linear behavior. However, the contact exhibits linear I-V characteristics with excellent ohmic contact of (rho c) = 1.74 x 10(-4) (omega)cm(2), when annealed at 600 degrees C for 1 min in a N-2 atmosphere. The Ga and Al vacancies created at the PdAl/Au and p-AlGaN interfaces, which act as acceptors to increase the hole concentration at the interface. The out-diffusion of Ga as well as in-diffusion of Pd and Au to form interfacial chemical reactions at the interface is observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements. The phases of the Ga-Pd and Ga-Au phases are detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. Morphological results show that the surface of the contact is reasonably smooth with the root-mean-square roughness of 2.89 nm despite annealing at 600 degrees C. Based on the above experimental considerations, PdAl/Au/p-AlGaN contact annealed at 600 degrees C is a suitable p-ohmic contact for the development of high-performance electronic devices. | Mallem, Siva Pratap Reddy; Ahn, Woo-Hyun; Lee, Jung-Hee; Im, Ki-Sik | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Kumoh Natl Inst Technol, Adv Mat Res Ctr, Gumi 39177, South Korea | 55422639100; 57211444401; 57196140713; 8679677600 | drmspreddy@knu.ac.kr;woohyun@knu.ac.kr;jlee@ee.knu.ac.kr;ksim@kumoh.ac.kr; | CRYSTALS | CRYSTALS | 2073-4352 | 10 | 12 | SCIE | CRYSTALLOGRAPHY;MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 2.589 | 34.0 | 0.22 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 4 | ohmic contact; p-AlGaN; PdAl metal-compound; Ga-phase; Core level binding energy shift | GAN | Core level binding; Energy shift ohmic contact; Ga-phase; P-AlGaN; PdAl metal-compound | English | 2020 | 2020-12 | 10.3390/cryst10121091 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Investigation of 1/fand Lorentzian Noise in TMAH-treated Normally-Off GaN MISFETs | A tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH)-treated normally-off Gallum nitride (GaN) metal-insulator-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MISFET) was fabricated and characterized using low-frequency noise (LFN) measurements in order to find the conduction mechanism and analyze the trapping behavior into the gate insulator as well as the GaN buffer layer. At the on-state, the noise spectra in the fabricated GaN device were 1/f(gamma)properties with gamma approximate to 1, which is explained by correlated mobility fluctuations (CMF). On the other hand, the device exhibited Lorentzian or generation-recombination (g-r) noises at the off-state due to deep-level trapping/de-trapping into the GaN buffer layer. The trap time constants (tau(i)) calculated from the g-r noises became longer when the drain voltage increased up to 5 V, which was attributed to deep-level traps rather than shallow traps. The severe drain lag was also investigated from pulsed I-V measurement, which is supported by the noise behavior observed at the off-state. | Im, Ki-Sik; Siva Pratap Reddy, Mallem; Choi, Yeo Jin; Hwang, Youngmin; An, Sung Jin; Roh, Jea-Seung | Kumoh Natl Inst Technol, Adv Mat Res Ctr, Gumi 39177, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Kumoh Natl Inst Technol, Dept Adv Mat Sci & Engn, Gumi 39177, South Korea | An, Sung/A-2869-2009; Choi, Yeo Jin/JXM-0329-2024 | 8679677600; 55422639100; 57218873345; 57208759642; 58349582600; 56425149400 | ksim@kumoh.ac.kr;drmspreddy@knu.ac.kr;dota23@kumoh.ac.kr;hdhym@kumoh.ac.kr;sungjinan@kumoh.ac.kr;jsroh@kumoh.ac.kr; | CRYSTALS | CRYSTALS | 2073-4352 | 10 | 8 | SCIE | CRYSTALLOGRAPHY;MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 2.589 | 34.0 | 0.15 | 2025-06-25 | 3 | 2 | GaN; MISFET; normally-off; 1; fnoise; g-r noise; correlated mobility fluctuations; pulse measurement | LOW-FREQUENCY NOISE; ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS; SURFACE; PERFORMANCE | 1/f noise; Correlated mobility fluctuations; G-r noise; GaN; MISFET; Normally-off; Pulse measurement | English | 2020 | 2020-08 | 10.3390/cryst10080717 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | PbMoO4 Synthesis from Ancient Lead and Its Single Crystal Growth for Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay Search | A powder synthesis of PbMoO4 (PMO) from ancient lead (Pb) and deeply purified commercial MoO3 powders was performed using a wet chemistry technique to achieve the low radioactivity scintillator for neutrinoless double beta decay search in Mo-100. The synthesized powders were used to grow single crystals of PbMoO4 by the Czochralski technique in an Ar environment. The luminescence and scintillation properties were measured with excitations using UV, X- and gamma-rays in the temperature range of 10-300 K. Annealing of the grown PMO crystal in an air atmosphere significantly enhanced the scintillation light yield compared to that measured before annealing. The scintillation light yield of grown PMO crystal at 10 K was found to be 127% to that of a reference PMO crystal under 662 keV gamma-rays excitation from a Cs-137 source. The background measurement of the grown crystal performed at 50 K shows a lower internal activity from Pb-210 compared to that of reference PMO (grown from modern Pb) crystal. These preliminary performances show that the PMO crystal grown from ancient Pb and deeply purified MoO3 powders has a great potential to be used as a cryogenic scintillator for the neutrinoless double beta decay search in Mo-100. | Khan, Arshad; Aryal, Pabitra; Kim, Hongjoo; Lee, Moo Hyun; Kim, Yeongduk | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Inst for Basic Sci Korea, Ctr Underground Phys, Daejeon 34126, South Korea; UST, IBS Sch, Daejeon 34113, South Korea | Khan, Arshad/ABB-1566-2021; Lee, Moo/AAK-4266-2020; Kim, Hong Joo/AAE-1178-2022 | 56017063700; 57196222852; 59051568100; 57198252980; 7410207253 | khanarshadmsc85@gmail.com;shpbi@gmail.com;hongjoo@knu.ac.kr;mhlee@ibs.re.kr;ydkim@ibs.re.kr; | CRYSTALS | CRYSTALS | 2073-4352 | 10 | 3 | SCIE | CRYSTALLOGRAPHY;MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 2.589 | 34.0 | 0.75 | 2025-06-25 | 12 | 11 | ancient Pb; synthesis; single crystal growth; scintillation; thermally stimulated luminescence | GREEN EMISSION; MOLYBDATE; LUMINESCENCE; SCINTILLATORS; REFINEMENT; KINETICS; EPR | Ancient Pb; Scintillation; Single crystal growth; Synthesis; Thermally stimulated luminescence | English | 2020 | 2020-03 | 10.3390/cryst10030150 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Proton, UV, and X-ray Induced Luminescence in Tb³⁺Doped LuGd2Ga2Al3O12Phosphors | The well-known solid-state reaction method is used for the synthesis of Tb doped LuGd(2)Ga(2)Al(3)O(12)phosphor. XRD and SEM techniques are used for the phase and structural morphology of the synthesized phosphor. UV, X-ray and proton induced spectroscopy is used to study the luminescence properties. LuGd2Ga2Al3O12:Tb(3+)phosphor shows its highest peak in green and blue region. The two major emission peaks correspond to(5)D(3)-> F-7(J)(at 480 to 510 nm, blue region) and(5)D(4)-> F-7(J)(at 535 to 565 nm, green region). Green emission is dominant; therefore, it may be used as an efficient green phosphor. The absorption spectra of the synthesized material matches well with the spectra of light emitting diodes (LEDs); therefore, it may have applications in LEDs. X-ray spectroscopic study suggests that this phosphor may have uses in medical applications, such as X-ray imaging. The synthesized phosphor exhibits 81% efficacy in comparison to the commercial plasma display panel material (Gd2O2S:Tb3+). The Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity diagram is obtained for this phosphor. The decay time of ms range is measured for the synthesized phosphor. | Fawad, U.; Kim, H. | ○ | ○ | Article | Switchable Lens Design for Multi-View 2D/3D Switching Display with Wide-Viewing Window | We improved the three-dimensional (3D) crosstalk level of multi-view 3D displays using a lens array with small f-number, thereby facilitating a wide 3D viewing window. In particular, we designed a polarization-dependent-switching liquid crystal (LC)-based gradient refractive index (GRIN) lens array that could be switched between 2D and 3D viewing modes. For the GRIN lens with a small f-number (1.08), we studied the effect of the interfacial curvature between the plano-concave isotropic polymer layer and the plano-convex birefringent LC layer on the aberration properties. We examined the conventional spherical, quadratic polynomial aspherical, and a high-order (fourth-order) polynomial aspherical curvature. For the high-order polynomial aspherical curvature, the achievable transverse spherical aberration (TSA = 10.2 mu m) was considerably lower than that with the spherical (TSA = 100.3 mu m) and quadratic polynomial aspherical (TSA = 30.4 mu m) curvatures. Consequently, the angular luminance distributions for each view were sharper for the high-order polynomial interfacial curvature. We designed multi-view (43-view) 3D displays using the arrays of switchable LC lenses with different curvatures, and the average adjacent crosstalk levels within the entire viewing window (50 degrees) were 68.5%, 73.3%, and 60.0% for the spherical, quadratic polynomial aspherical, and high-order polynomial aspherical curvatures, respectively. | Lee, Tae-Hyun; Joo, Kyung-Il; Kim, Hak-Rin | Kyungpook Natl Univ, Sch Elect Engn, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Elect & Telecommun Res Inst, Daejeon 61012, South Korea | Kim, Hak-Rin/T-1897-2019 | 57207924346; 36680185400; 7410124944 | vdo970@knu.ac.kr;wnruddlf@naver.com;rineey@knu.ac.kr; | CRYSTALS | CRYSTALS | 2073-4352 | 10 | 5 | SCIE | CRYSTALLOGRAPHY;MATERIALS SCIENCE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY | 2020 | 2.589 | 34.0 | 0.45 | 2025-06-25 | 8 | 10 | aspherical lens curvature; 3D crosstalk; gradient refractive index lens; transverse spherical aberration; switchable lens | LIQUID-CRYSTAL LENS; HIGH-BIREFRINGENCE; 3D DISPLAYS; ARRAY; MICROLENS | 3D crosstalk; Aspherical lens curvature; Gradient refractive index lens; Switchable lens; Transverse spherical aberration | English | 2020 | 2020-05 | 10.3390/cryst10050418 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||

| ○ | ○ | Article | Tuning of Adhesion and Disintegration of Oxidized Starch Adhesives for the Recycling of Medium Density Fiberboard | Oxidized starch (OS) adhesives with a balance between their adhesion and disintegration properties were prepared by controlling the degree of oxidation and modifying the cross-linker type and level to replace urea-formaldehyde (UF) resins for easy recycling of medium density fiberboard (MDF). Four molar ratios of H2O2/starch, two types of cross-linker, i.e., blocked-pMDI (B-pMDI) and citric acid (CA), and three levels of the cross-linkers were employed to tailor the performance of the OS adhesives. The OS reacted with the isocyanate groups from the B-pMDI to form amide linkages, while it formed ester linkages by reacting with the CA. The resulting B-pMDI/OS-bonded MDF had better physical and mechanical properties than the CA/OS-bonded MDF, with comparable adhesion (0.34 MPa) to UF resins and ten times greater degree of fiber disintegration than UF resins. The combination of a 0.5 molar ratio OS with 7.5 wt% of B-pMDI produced MDF exhibiting an optimal balance between adhesion and disintegration, suggesting that such OS adhesives could someday replace UF resins in manufacturing and recycling of MDF without formaldehyde emission. | Lubis, Muhammad Adly Rahandi; Park, Byung-Dae; Hong, Min-Kug | Indonesian Inst Sci, Res Ctr Biomat, Bogor 16911, Indonesia; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Wood & Paper Sci, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Sunchang Corp, Dept Res & Dev, Incheon 22302, South Korea | Lubis, Muhammad/K-2440-2019; Park, Byung-Dae/ABB-1934-2020 | 57192278476; 7402834820; 57193121511 | byungdae@knu.ac.kr; | BIORESOURCES | BIORESOURCES | 1930-2126 | 15 | 3 | SCIE | MATERIALS SCIENCE, PAPER & WOOD | 2020 | 1.614 | 34.1 | 1.11 | 2025-06-25 | 19 | 25 | Blocked pMDI; Citric acid; Cross-linking; Oxidized starch adhesives; Medium density fiberboard; Recycling | FORMALDEHYDE RESIN ADHESIVES; UREA-FORMALDEHYDE; WOOD ADHESIVE; CELLULOSE NANOCRYSTALS; HYDROGEN-PEROXIDE; BONDING STRENGTH; ISOCYANATES; STABILITY; ACIDS; CURE | Blocked pMDI; Citric acid; Cross-linking; Medium density fiberboard; Oxidized starch adhesives; Recycling | Adhesion; Adhesives; Amides; Formaldehyde; Oxidation; Recycling; Adhesion; Adhesives; Amides; Formaldehyde; Molar ratio; Oxidation; Recycling; Resins; Starch; Urea; Urea formaldehyde resins; Degree of oxidations; Fiber disintegrations; Formaldehyde emission; Isocyanate group; Medium density fiberboards; Optimal balance; Physical and mechanical properties; Urea formaldehyde; Disintegration | English | 2020 | 2020-08 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | |||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Excitation functions and thick target yields of the ⁿatZr(p, x)⁹⁵Zr, ⁹⁵mNb, ⁹⁵gNb reactions | We measured the excitation functions for the production of the radionuclides Zr-95, Nb-95m and Nb-95g from the Zr-nat(p, x) reactions in the proton energy range of 10.6-43.6 MeV. The experiment was performed by irradiation of zirconium and copper foils simultaneously using 45 MeV proton beam from the MC-50 Cyclotron at the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences, Korea, and the induced activity was measured with an HPGe gamma-ray detector. Proton energies along the foil stack were calculated using the computer code SRIM-2013. The proton beam flux entered each foil was determined via the Cu-nat(p, x)Zn-62 and Cu-nat(p, x)Zn-65 monitoring reactions. The cumulative cross sections of the Zr-nat(p, x)Zr-95 reaction were measured because it was unable to separate the activity from the decay of Y-95 to Zr-95. However, independent cross sections of the Zr-nat(p, x)Nb-95m and Zr-nat(p, x)Nb-95g reactions were determined, since the independent activities of Nb-95m and Nb-95g can also be measured. In addition, the thick target yields of the Zr-95, Nb-95m and Nb-95g isotopes were also determined. The current results are compared with the previously measured data as well as with the theoretical values from the TALYS-1.9 code and the TENDL-2019 data library. | Nguyen, Van Do; Nguyen, Thanh Luan; Nguyen, Thi Hien; Kim, Guinyun; Nguyen, Thi Xuan; Kim, Tien Thanh | Duy Tan Univ, Inst Theoret & Appl Res, Hanoi 100000, Vietnam; Duy Tan Univ, Fac Nat Sci, Da Nang 550000, Vietnam; Vietnam Acad Sci & Technol, Inst Phys, 10 Dao Tan, Hanoi, Vietnam; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Vietnam Acad Sci & Technol, Grad Sch Sci & Technol, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Hanoi, Vietnam | Thành, Luân/ABF-6356-2020; Nguyen, Thong/ABV-0605-2022 | 56219609900; 57209167025; 57201066391; 35313854400; 57209328458; 16033121800 | gnkim@knu.ac.kr; | EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A | EUR PHYS J A | 1434-6001 | 1434-601X | 56 | 7 | SCIE | PHYSICS, NUCLEAR;PHYSICS, PARTICLES & FIELDS | 2020 | 3.043 | 34.2 | 0.15 | 2025-06-25 | 0 | 2 | PROTON-INDUCED REACTIONS; PRODUCTION CROSS-SECTIONS; INDUCED NUCLEAR-REACTION; ZR-NAT; ACTIVATION; NIOBIUM; CYCLOTRON; ZIRCONIUM; TANTALUM | English | 2020 | 2020-07-29 | 10.1140/epja/s10050-020-00199-5 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Measurement of flux-weighted average cross sections of ⁿatIn(γ, xn) reactions and isomeric yield ratios of ¹¹²mg,¹¹¹m,g,¹¹⁰m,g In with bremsstrahlung | The flux-weighted average cross sections of In-nat(gamma, xn) reactions and isomeric yield ratios of In-112m,In-g, In-111m,In-g, and In-110m,In-g were measured with the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 50, 60, and 70 MeV using an activation and off-line.-ray spectrometric technique at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL), Korea. It was observed that the average cross sections of the In-nat(gamma, xn) reactions increase with bremsstrahlung energy up to the Gaint Dipole Resonance (GDR) region. Thereafter, it shows a small decrease trend with bremsstrahlung energy due to the opening of another reaction channel. The isomeric yield ratios of same product in the (gamma, n), (n,2n), (p,x), (alpha, x), and (He-3, x) reactions for various targets show that the spin of the target nucleus plays a vital role besides the effect of excitation energy and input angular momentum in determining the isomeric yield ratios. | Rahman, Md. | ○ | ○ | Article | Neutron star equation of state and tidal deformability with nuclear energy density functionals | Neutron star physics is the ultimate testing place for the physics of dense nuclear matter. Before the detection of gravitational waves from the merger of binary neutron stars, various nuclear equations of state have been used to estimate the macroscopic properties of neutron stars, such as masses and radii, based on electromagnetic observations. However, recent observations of the tidal deformability of neutron star from the gravitational waves GW170817 opened a new era of multi-messenger astronomy and astrophysics, and much theoretical work has been devoted to estimating the tidal deformability of neutron stars. In this article, we review our recent work on the application of nuclear energy density functionals to the properties of neutron stars, including tidal deformability. We found that many nuclear energy density functionals, including the new KIDS (Korea: IBS-Daegu-Sungkyunkwan) model, satisfy constraints both from current electromagnetic and from gravitational-wave observations. We discuss future possibilities of constraining the nuclear matter equation of state from ground-based experiments and multi-messenger observations. | Kim, Young-Min; Kwak, Kyujin; Hyun, Chang Ho; Gil, Hana; Lee, Chang-Hwan | Ulsan Natl Inst Sci & Technol UNIST, Sch Nat Sci, Ulsan 44919, South Korea; Daegu Univ, Dept Phys Educ, Gyongsan 38453, South Korea; Kyungpook Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Daegu 41566, South Korea; Pusan Natl Univ, Dept Phys, Busan 46241, South Korea | ; Lee, Chang-Hwan/B-3096-2015; Kim, Kyungmin/MXL-0298-2025 | 57113969000; 15623038400; 27172295000; 57193857914; 57196256122 | clee@pusan.ac.kr; | EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A | EUR PHYS J A | 1434-6001 | 1434-601X | 56 | 6 | SCIE | PHYSICS, NUCLEAR;PHYSICS, PARTICLES & FIELDS | 2020 | 3.043 | 34.2 | 0.16 | 2025-06-25 | 4 | 4 | SYMMETRY ENERGY; MATTER; RADII | English | 2020 | 2020-06-02 | 10.1140/epja/s10050-020-00164-2 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | 바로가기 | ||||
| ○ | ○ | Article | Photo-neutron cross-section of ⁿatDy in the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 12, 14, 16, 65, and 75 MeV | The flux-weighted average cross-sections of Dy-nat(gamma, xn)Dy-159,Dy-157,Dy-155 reactions were measured at the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 12, 14, 16, 65 and 75 MeV with the activation and off-line gamma-ray spectrometric technique using the 20 MeV Electron Linac for beams with high Brilliance and low Emittance (ELBE) at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Dresden, Germany and the 100 MeV electron linac at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, Korea. The Dy-nat(gamma, xn)Dy-157,Dy-155 reaction crosssections as a function of photon energy were also calculated theoretically using TALYS 1.9 code. Then the flux-weighted average values at different end-point energies were obtained based on the theoretical values of mono-energetic photons. These values were compared with the flux-weighted values of present work and are found to be in general agreement. It was also found that the experimental and theoretical formation cross sections of Dy-159, Dy-157 and Dy-155 from the Dy-nat(gamma, xn) reactions increased from their respective threshold values to a certain energy where other reaction channels opened. After reaching amaximum value, the individual reaction cross-sections slowly decreased with the increase of the bremsstrahlung energy due to the initiation of other competing reactions at higher energy, which indicates the impact of the excitation energy. However, the production cross sections of Dy-157 and Dy-155 from the Dy-nat(gamma, xn) reactions slightly increase in between and then decreased slowly with bremsstrahlung energy, which is due to the contributing reactions of higher mass isotopes. | Naik, H.; Kim, G. | ○ | ○ | Article | Post-neutron mass yield distribution in the thermal neutron induced fission of ²⁴¹Pu | The cumulative and independent yields of various fission products within the mass range of 83-115 and 125-157 have been measured in the thermal neutron induced fission of Pu-241 by using radiochemical and off-line gamma-ray spectrometric technique. From the cumulative yields, post-neutron mass yields were obtained by using the charge distribution correction. From the mass yields data, full width at tenth maximum (FWTM) of light and heavy mass wings, the average light mass () and heavy mass () as well as the average neutrons number () were obtained. The mass yield data in the Pu-241(n(th), f) reaction was compared with the similar data of Th-229(n(th), f) reaction to examine the nuclear structure effect. Surprisingly, different trends of standard I and standard II asymmetric mode of fission were seen in the two fissioning systems due to the different nuclear structure effect. | Naik, H.; Dange, S.
